Hey everyone, I hope that you’re all keeping well. I’m just sitting here thinking of everything I’ve done in the last little while and everything yet to come, and it’s exciting times! As you all know CMA week has passed now, what a great week it was! I became busier as the week progressed, having first hosted the “Aristo Summer Show” on the 7th, and then doing the “ Countriest of Country” show on the 8th of June.. I helped out with “Make A Wish” one day, standing in for my friend Matt Farris. I took this little 11 year old girl around to the different booths in the convention center along with her mom and dad, because it was one of her dreams being made true to meet all the artists.. I’m glad I had the opportunity to help out with that. On the 11th of June, myself and Amber Hayes entertained the Girl Scouts Of America at AristoMedia. Needless to say, it was an early morning, the girl scouts looked a little tired and I’m sure I did as well lol, but over all, it was a great experience and everyone left with a smile. :) Through CMA week, my wife, myself and our friend from Arizona attended the late night LP Field shows. These shows to me are a huge highlight, because not only do they feature some incredible entertainers, but to be in the audience witnessing the volume of people and the volume of screaming, just caps it off for me and reassures me that this is what I want to work towards. I would love for my band and I to play that big stage someday!! Once CMA week wrapped up, I had a few days off and then I wrote with Keith Follese and his wife Adrienne Follese on the 16th. We wrote a cool uptempo song called “ Cabin Fever”, but still have to get it demoed up good though.. As you all know from my passed tweets, I was in Dallas the weekend of the 18th for my wife’s 10 year anniversary with Southwest. Pretty cool time that was! There were like 4,000-5,000 people in attendance, along with a catered dinner, which was awesome! Like with any big event though, they sectioned out a period of the evening to give awards away, well they gave a lot away that evening.. My wife was there for her 10 year anniversary, but there were some of the original Flight Attendants in the audience who have been with Southwest for 40 years, now that’s a long time! Another feature I thought was kinda cool, and took you through time from the beginning to present, was when we were walking into the huge ballroom area. Lined up along both sides of the walkway, were flight attendants wearing the different flight attendant uniforms over the years.. It just kind of put you in the moment which was neat.. Now I’m looking ahead, and I’m so excited for the fact that I will be recording the beginning of July!! I’ll keep you all posted as things progress.. Update!

Hi everyone. . . I know a little time has past now, but I wanted to thank you all for your messages of sympathy towards the recent passing of my cousin Bradley. Although we will miss Brad so much and nothing can ever replace him, we've been comforted somewhat in knowing that he is with his Dad now. On a happier note, the band and I just did two outdoor shows at the Sunshine Village Ski resort in Banff Alberta, Canada. It was an awesome experience being able to take the 20 minute gondola ride up the mountain to get to the stage where we played both shows. First show was awesome, weather was great, sun was shining, people skiing in the distance, and then stopping for a break to come watch our show! The second show was awesome as well, quite a bit of snow fall, but man was that beautiful to see the snow fall while being however many thousands of feet up on the mountain. I'm looking forward to the acoustic show I'm doing in Jacksonville Florida coming up August 6th, I know that it still may be too far for some of you to attend, but hey, it would give you a good excuse to go to Florida... right? ;). Before that show though, and if any of you are in the Nashville area, I'll be part of a show put on by my friend Billy Yates called the " Countriest of the Country Show"! That show will be on June 8th. I'm getting closer to the stage of recording again!! Ive done a couple demo's recently, but nothing quite compares to the excitement of recording my own projects, so I'm looking forward to starting into that again! Anyhow, thank you all for your continued messages on Facebook and twitter, and please forgive me if it takes me awhile to get back to you at times, these fingers of mine can only type so fast! Lol . I hope you all have a great rest of the week, and I'll be updating you all as more stuff comes up.

New Web Site!

Hey everyone, I would just like to personally welcome you all to my new site.. It was down for a little while to get out a few kinks, and to reface it a little bit, but now it's back thanks to the hard work of my friends and team at Aristo Media. I appreciate all of you, and the support that I get from you all, it never ceases to amaze me.. Just to fill you all in on my life as of late, as far as the music goes, I am still working hard at it and will continue to.. I'm writing whenever I can, in fact I'm writing with Victoria Shaw on the 27th! Some great songs have been coming out of these writing sessions, which I'm very excited about.. I know at times it seems like forever and a day since I've had new material out, but rest assured there is a game plan, some truly great songs and a whole lot of dedication and passion dedicated to this dream of mine that WILL never stop. It's hard to believe sometimes looking back at how long I've been at this now, I had my first hit song "Horseshoes" in 2000.. Ever since then it has been an amazing journey... A journey that I can't wait to continue. I know you've all heard the recent news of my marriage... We are both very happy and content and really do appreciate all of your congratulatory messages.. they mean a lot:) I can not wait to see you all out on the road again, and will be working on recording new songs in the very near future. It takes time to write the best songs and find the best songs, it's something that shouldn't be rushed, because it needs to fit and feel right. I want to provide you all with another project that I am whole heartedly proud of, that's my goal and always has been as well as everyone who has dedicated their time, and efforts to this project! 2/16/2011: Writing & Benefits!

Hey Everyone,

I've really enjoyed being able to read and respond to your messages on my Facebook and twitter. Thanks for the continued support! So in saying that, I've realized that I haven't written a journal in quite awhile. Life's been pretty good, I can't complain. Been able to write a lot lately and record some demos which has been awesome. Just recently, I recorded a really good demo with Victoria Shaw of a song she and I wrote together. When I heard the finished demo for the first time, I was like, “Wow, did I do that?!?” Lol, as Steve Urkel would have said haha. It turned out real well, I'm very happy with it! You've probably noticed that I have some shows coming up between now and the end of March that I'm pumped to do! Unfortunately a few of the shows though, I wish could be under somewhat different circumstances. I say that because they are shows dedicated to people battling cancer right now. I think it's absolutely awesome that people can come together and do a benefit, open up their hearts and raise money for these angels and bring awareness. The sad part I'm getting at is, that those people are suffering and fighting for their lives day in and day out. It's hard to see them go through what they're going through. I wish their pain could go away and they could get back to living the lives they once had. For me, it really puts into perspective how lucky I am. I was just talking to my mom and dad the other day about this very topic, and how we often take things in life for granted and spend a lot of time stressing over the small stuff of everyday, when in the end it means nothing. If I were one to go through life always hung up and stressing over something, well then I'd be missing the importance of life, and the blessing that it is. Clinton, Savannah, Denise, Grandma and whomever else is out there fighting these terrible illnesses, my heart, my prayers and my thoughts go out to all of you, hang in there. Please if you haven't done so already refer to my website, Facebook or wherever else regarding my upcoming appearances, and would love to see you at the shows. How's everyone doing with this cold weather? It's even pretty cold here in Nashville, today it was in the 30's, low 40's, but it has been in the 20's as well. I talk to my mom and dad quite often back home and they give me the scoop on the weather and the going on's there, and they said it's getting quite cold there in Edmonton. Today was a pretty amazing day also, I had the honor of writing with Aaron Barker! Aaron has written so many incredible songs over the course of his career and has had #1's with George Straight, Lonestar and many many more. I met him at his office today and I tell you, this guy is what songwriting is all about. The stories he can tell are endless, and you know that his songs truly mean something to him because he's lived most of them if not all of them personally. We wrote an awesome song called " Don't Make Em Like That anymore". I'm inspired by people like my mom and dad, and my grandma and grandpa who have managed to keep the flame burning and have made their marriages last a long time. My parents aren't far off of 30 years of marriage and my grandparents just celebrated their 50th the last time I was home. That definitely speaks volumes in todays world it seems. That thought inspired me with the title " They Just Don't Make Em Like That Anymore" which I presented to Aaron. Once Aaron got wind of where I was going with the idea, the rest was history and an amazing ballad came out of today:) Just wanted to mention again incase I haven't said it in awhile, but I really do appreciate you all. The endless support you all have given me is incredible and I cannot wait to get back out doing shows again so I can see you all at the shows. Hang in there guys, I'm just trying to get all the ducks in a row, write some more new material and then get on some shows. Anyways, I just wanted to fill you in on the excitement as of late, and I hope that you all have a great evening and stay healthy and warm.

10/26/2010: Halloween In Canada!

I've been having a pretty good time up here in Canada, and now that the snow has fallen, I feel like I myself have fallen into a bit of a hibernation state, haha. It's true, this kinda weather puts me in the mood to want to sit around a fire, in the house of course. Being that Halloween is just around the corner now, there are lots of Halloween shows and movies on TV, that I've been watching with my family. My niece and nephew have decorated my Mom and Dad's upstairs living room, because my niece is having a Halloween party on Saturday. Yup, the house is going to be over run by 7 year olds. It'll be fun and she is so excited for the party. My nephew is having a few of his buddies from school as well. I bought my Mom a bread maker a number of years ago now, and I tell ya, that thing has been well worth the money, because she has been making lots of home made pizzas where if you were to shut your eyes, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between these homemade pizzas from your classic Pizza Hut, Dominos, kinds of pizzas. They are excellent! I want to mention too, that my Grandparents 50th Wedding Anniversary was a success and went out with a bang... Literally. There were about 32 people, family and friends, that attended the 50th celebration and the Chinese food we ate was awesome!! Upon leaving the restaurant, myself and a few others were not yet out of the area in which we ate, when all of sudden something sounded like it landed on top of the ceiling above us, followed by the restaurant shaking and the lights flickering on and off. It was really strange, we didn't know what just happened at that point, because it sounded like a bomb touched down or something. We then proceeded outside the restaurant to find out that a transformer had exploded in the building right next to the restaurant. I went up to my Grandparents and said, "Wow your 50th sure went out with a bang". We were able to catch a DLO show as well when I first got home and it was good to be able to hang with the band again. We're all really looking forward to the show happening at the Winspear Center on the 6th of November, and we hope that we'll be able to see alot of you out at that show. Anyways, I had mentioned in earlier twitter messages that I'll be carving 10 pumpkins this year for Halloween. Well, I've decided to down grade and just keep it at the 5 I already have. I figure that should be enough to put around the house here. Hopefully I can let my creative juices flow when carving, and carve something cool in each of them. Well, that's about all, just wanted to update you all. Look forward to seeing you all again. 10/7/2010: Show In Phoenix

Last week was pretty cool. I was able to spend the week in one of my favorite places in the country… Phoenix! I was contacted by a lady who was putting on a Charity event to raise money for a 12 year old loved one she lost to Leukemia Lymphoma. It just seems like cancer claims the lives of so many people, and I too have been affected by it, having lost relatives to cancer. My grandma is doing very well by the way, her last test result came back and everything looked pretty good. Thank you all for keeping her in your prayers, it means a lot. Anyways, getting back to the Charity event, it was myself, Matt Farris and a three sister trio called Firefly who performed that night at AZ Country USA. We had a great time and the evening brought in about $1,400 for the Charity. I’d like to thank Rita again for putting on that event, and for asking me to be part of it. It certainly puts the importance of life into perspective for me especially when I do such charities. During my stay, Matt and his family accommodated me by letting me stay at their house. They have this sweet movie room upstairs in their house that has a big projector screen, so you can guess that I was up there watching a few movies! Not to forget to mention they had custom reclining chairs that with a push of a button would electronically recline. They were awesome!! Thank you guys for letting me stay the week. It just happened to be that during my time there, the Rascal Flatts show was rolling through town. Matt had worked out with KMLE to get some comp tickets to the show, so a group of us were able to attend that show as well. Chris Young and Kellie Pickler were the openers for Rascal Flatts and they all did an awesome job. Kellie Pickler had mentioned onstage that she was battling some sort of bronchitis infection, but she still was able to deliver her songs and the crowd wouldn’t of even noticed a difference. In preparing for the Rascal Flatts show, there was a big guitar opposite the stage where the announcers stood to introduce the band, and at first I thought that Rascal Flatts would start the show off by appearing at this guitar, but they didn’t. This guitar was a crowd noise meter, and the crowd was directed by the announcers to scream Rascal Flatts over and over, and the more we yelled the name, the more the guitar would light up. As soon as it lit up all the way to the top of the guitar, the backdrop on stage showed some backdrop patterns on it for a minute or so, and then out of no where, there was an explosion of flames which lit up the whole front of the stage, and the backdrop opened up and out walked Rascal Flatts. They had an amazing light show, several different themes in the backdrop, made it very eye catching. Almost forgot to mention, prior to the show, over at the KMLE booth, there was karaoke going on. Matt Farris and I decided to go check it out. When we got over there Matt disappeared for a few minutes, and when he got back he asked me if I’d like to sing Crazy Days Karaoke style. Now I’ve sung karaoke in the past, and that was all fine and dandy, but never before have I sung my own song Crazy Days to karaoke, so I was a little nervous as to what to expect. To my surprise the background music sounded dead on and was in the right key even, so that was a pleasant surprise. I went up on the KMLE stage there and mentioned to the audience that I had never sung karaoke to my own song before and they all cheered at the fact that I got up there to do it. Once I started into it, I could see people singing along with me, which was cool to see. So that was pretty much that evening in a nutshell. I was able to meet up with some other friends as well while I was in town this time, which I’m glad I was able to. The last few days of the week, Matt, his family, myself and some other friends of his, stayed at the Wild Horse Pass Resort Casino. This was where the Colgate show took place on the 2nd of October. Matt did a great job competing and although he didn’t win, I believe that with the passion he has for the music he does, that he’ll stand just as good of a chance as anyone at pursuing his dream. Way to go bud, you did a great job!! Anyways, that basically was my week, again in a nutshell. I hope that you’re all doing well. Until next time, bye for now.

9/3/2010: Traveling Around!

Well hello out there, how's everyone been doing? Its been awhile since my last post, so I wanted to catch up with y'all. I've been doing pretty well, practicing my music a lot and writing here and there. I flew up to Canada again not too long ago and was up there for 3 weeks getting some needed family time in and I had a couple of show as well. The three weeks just absolutely flew by. Growing up, people weren't kidding when they told me to enjoy being young because the older you get the faster the days seem to go by, and they were right. I think you just notice little things like that more as you get older, and don't really waste time thinking about them when you're a kid. My buddy Matt Farris from Arizona had never been to Canada before, so my family and I extended the offer to him to come visit if he wanted to come up to see what Canada was like. So Matt flew in on August 9th, stayed a week and was able to attend my show in Winkler, Manitoba.

After three weeks had passed in Canada I returned to Nashville and pretty much just turned around and flew out to Arizona, where I met up again with my friend Matt to do a show with him. Matt was putting on a benefit show for his friend Denise, who unfortunately like many others has cancer, so I was all about helping out. The show was held outside in the 118 degree heat in Lake Havasu AZ. Pretty hot to say the least and we were happy to have raised around $5,000 for Denise to help her towards her treatments. My prayers and wishes go out to her for a fast recovery. I will also confirm that the London Bridge is still indeed standing strong, because I saw it right from my hotel patio. We all stayed at the Hotel "Heat" right there in Lake Havasu, and it was a real nice hotel. My room was pretty amazing having windows that wrapped around the whole room. Getting back to the London Bridge though, it's neat to think that the bridge was actually shipped from London to Lake Havasu a number of years ago. It once stood in London and I found that kind of fascinating, since I still have some relatives living in England. So I spent 3 days in Arizona and then flew back to Nashville.

It saddened my heart to get word this past week from my friend Matt that his friends were the victims of the shooting that took place in Lake Havasu last week. It was just weird and didn't seem real to hear something like that, because even Matt said that nothing like that has ever happened before in Lake Havasu. Even myself having seen and been there, you would have never expected that to happen. It was a very peaceful place and has been a tourist destination for many years. My heart and prayers go out to the family members and friends of the victims, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss.

On another note, have any of you seen the man vs. food shows on tv? If you have, you might recall the episode when the guy stopped in at "Bub's Burgers and Ice Cream", in Carmel, Indiana, where he almost ate 3 of the big Ugly Hamburgers. Anyways, I'm proud to say that I made it through 1 of the Big Ugly's myself. I tell ya, they are massive. The patti itself is the size of your average pie pan and was probably about an inch thick lol. On top of that, the bun was custom made to fit the patti and was lathered in a whole stick of butter, yummy. Once I figure out how to upload the picture on twitter, I will put it up for all of you to see. If you ever go to the restaurant you may even see my picture up on the wall for having finished the Big Ugly. The record was made by, I believe, a 17 year old guy. He ate 4 of them and I absolutely don't have a clue where he fit all those, cause I was kinda on the verge of feeling sick after eating 1 lol.

I'm really looking forward to seeing a lot of my fans out at the November 6th show at the Winspear. The show is for the Voices for Hospice and they couldn't have picked a nicer venue to hold the event. So I'm really looking forward to playing there again! Anyways, that's about all, so I'll sign off for now and I'll talk to y'all again another time.

8/6/10: Hello From Canada

Hello everyone.. I hope that you're all doing well. I've been up here in Canada getting a lot of time in with my family and I've got a couple shows up here as well, one of which I've already done in Palmer Rapids,Ontario. My family and I have made excellent use out of the backyard fire pit. We've practically been sitting out in the backyard every night around the fire telling stories and some ghost stories. My little nephew was cute last night when he took it upon himself to tell us his ghost story, which involved aliens. He said that he saw an alien ship land in my parents backyard and the aliens proceeded into the house through the basement window which they smashed and then glued back together with their alien spit, lol. My nephew said they proceeded up the basement staircase as he hid behind the upstairs chair and watched this all go on. He then went on and said that he punched the aliens out and they eventually left. Kids' imaginations are unbelievable, lol. If any of you have been reading my last twitter messages, I've said that my family and I have been having movie nights. I went and rented 3 Blockbuster movies the other night and so far we watched 2 out of the three. I got, "Ice Twisters"," Scooby Doo" and "Diary Of A Wimpy Kid", which we're watching right now. It's been a bit of a movie mania around here and I love it! I have a couple shows this time around, so instead of having to make two separate trips, I thought it would be best to stay up here in Canada for 3 weeks this time around and not be so rushed. It's been good. My next show will be on the 14th of August in Winkler, Manitoba. I'm excited to do the show and see the fans. It's gonna rock! Other than that, being that my niece and nephew have been here full time since I've been home, we've planned a lot of day trips to the Zoo, to parks, to Capital Ex, to Fort Edmonton Park, which we did today, and we'll be visiting "Jurassic Forest" within the next few days. I remember when I was a kid, I was thrilled and super excited anytime my family would take me and my sister on day trips anywhere and vacations. Not a lot has changed with me, cause I still feel like I'm somewhat a big kid and I love partaking in adventures. That's about all, I just wanted to update you all on what I've been up to. 7/14/2010: My Birthday & Show On The 17th

Hi everyone, I just wanted to check in and see how you all are doing. I've been doing well for the most part, been writing some as my mind has been feeling creative in that sense. Celebrated my birthday (July 12th) with some friends of mine, and I got spoiled to a real nice home cooked meal followed by a carrot cake mmm. Of course being that I'm an artist, an artist goes nowhere without his guitar, so I brought mine to my friends and played a bunch of songs there after we ate. Their grandchildren came over and I surprised them all by giving them a very upfront and personal performance. It's always good playing music. I love it! The Sunday before my birthday, I was invited over to some other friends, and this family is very much into singing, which clicks with me, so we were all up singing till late Sunday evening. I had a good home cooked meal there as well and a birthday cake, so I had a pretty good pre-birthday and then birthday. I'm excited about the show coming up on the 17th in French Lick, Indiana. It's just around the corner and I made a visit to the radio station WITZ yesterday, along with my friend and organizer of the event, Diane, and a member of the headlining band Copper Creek. We all did the interview together pertaining to the show on the 17th. I brought my guitar there as well and broke into "Crazy Days" live on air, so if any of you were listening here in Indiana and surrounding area's, you may of heard the interview... and I hope it sounded good. ;) Anyways, just wanted to update you all and let you know things are well, and I'm looking forward to eventually seeing y'all on the road. 6/13/2010: CMA Music Fest

I sure had a great CMA week here in Nashville. I actually became busier then what was planned and I loved it! For starters, on the evening of the 7th, I hosted AristoMedia's CMA Global Artist Party at The Stage on Broadway and it was a great success. There was so much international talent there and it was so nice to meet these artists from around the world. That show would've never been made possible, though, without the countless hours of planning and hard work put into it by the great people from AristoMedia. So thank you to all of you for the great time!! I was excited because this was the first year also that I was part of the CMA Kick Off Parade! I was part of the Operation Troop Aid float along with Moxy Recording artist Chelsea Field, and Hollywood, just to name a few. There sure was a lot of country music fans in Nashville for that and for the week to follow. On the 11th, I went down to the Convention Center and I signed at the Microsoft booth. Well I tell you what, I was blown away with the response I received. I had a line that wasn't stopping to the point where the Microsoft crew had to cut my line, and ask me back the next day. I wanted to mention that the Microsoft team presented me with a gift while I was there as well. It's one of the Zune systems, that plays live radio, movies, songs and the list goes on and on. It's really cool! So, as was mentioned, I did end up going back to the Microsoft booth the next day and was pleasantly surprised with the support I received once again. Chelsea Field, as I mentioned above, is a new artist to hit Nashville. She's on the Moxy Record label and she's being taken care of by my same team from AristoMedia. Anyways, Chelsea and I ran into one another a few times during the booth signing experience and on the 2nd day I was there, Chelsea asked if I would be willing to come and sing a few songs at her show happening that evening at Cadillac Ranch. I told her I'd love to! So that evening I headed down to Cadillac Ranch and following Chelsea's show, I went up on stage and sang 3 songs! It was a great experience and I'd like to thank Chelsea Field for the opportunity to play! I stayed at Cadillac Ranch for a little while after I sang and then headed out to another venue to catch just in time, my buddy Curt Acuff's show down at the French Quarter the same night. Curt and his band Nexus Point had already been playing for an hour by the time I got there, but after Curt spotted me walking in, he called me up on stage to sing and I did 4 songs there, acoustically. That acoustic stuff is fun and laid back. I love it!! Thanks to Curt Acuff and his band Nexus Point for the opportunity there as well! Last but not least, I attended with my friends from Aristo, the last evening show at LP Field. The Microsoft team had previously invited us all up to their Skybox to hang for part of the show. They had catered food up there that was just awesome, not to forget to mention the kindness and generosity we received from the Microsoft people, so thank you! :) I'd say half way through the show, we said our goodbye's to everyone and then headed over to another suite where we enjoyed visiting and watching the remainder of the concert. Justin Moore, Kellie Pickler, Blake Shelton with special appearance from Miranda Lambert, Trace Adkins, Darius Rucker and Brad Paisley all played that night in the sweltering heat. It was a good show! Well, that about wraps it all up in a nut shell everyone and I don't think that I'm forgetting anything, but it's possible, being that I did so much in a short time period. P.S. I forget to mention a very important point. On the 14th, I was part of a benefit fundraiser for my friend Larry Wayne Clark who's a Nashville songwriter. He has unfortunately been diagnosed with cancer and this show was to raise money to help them a little through this difficult time. I guess every little bit helps right. My prayers are with you Larry, hang in there...

Hey everyone... It's been awhile since I posted a journal, so I thought it was a good time to do so. I actually just got back from Canada... I spent just over a week up there and was able to surprise both my grandma and my sister on their birthdays! The first day home, my Dad and I pulled up the driveway and my sister saw me behind the wheel and had the surprised look on her face. She had no clue I was coming home, so that was extra cool. My parents and I ended up celebrating Andrea's birthday at a Greek restaurant down on White Ave, with a bunch of her other friends, and it was nice to visit with everyone. Do you know that Birthday stems from the Greek word Birthulia lol just kidden. I was just thinking back to the My Big Fat Greek Wedding movie when the father puts a Greek meaning to every word. Anyways, so we had a Greek meal and later on went back to my mom and dad's and just chilled out for the rest of the evening. On the 23rd, my Mom and I drove over to my Grandma and Grandpa's house where I surprised my Grandma... My Mom rang the door bell as I waited around the corner, and when my Grandma answered, I popped around the corner and said Happy Birthday! She was completely shocked, to say the least and for a second or so she couldn't hold back the tears. I was so glad that I was able to make it back. Please, I would so greatly appreciate it if you would all say a prayer for my Grandma as she's been diagnosed with cancer. She is super positive and super strong, so I have no doubt that she'll get through this once again but she could still use all of your prayers. I believe I told you guys that my dad was building a deck on the front of our house, well anyways it looks awesome!! I was able to help him put up the railing around the deck and it just added so much to it's appearance! A lot of the neighbors have commented on how good it looks as well. Well, I didn't go up there for just family reasons, I also had a show at the Rainmaker Rodeo as one of the opening acts for Dwight Yokam. It's called the Rainmaker Rodeo because it usually involves a lot of rain, but fortunately in our case it didn't rain during our show. After the Rainmaker show, my parents and I headed home and I tried to get a good nights sleep because I was flying out the next day. My flight on the 29th departed at 2:30ish so at least I didn't have to wake up super earlier like past flights I've had to do. I arrived back in the States and last night I was part of a benefit show in regards to the floods which occurred here in Nashville. It took place down at the Limelight just across from LP field and there were a bunch of other artist that showed up to support the cause as well, which was good to see the support:) I invited my buddy Curt Acuff down with me, who is also an inspiring singer, songwriter and musician, and three songs into my set I invited Curt up to do a song. He did a great job and the audience loved him:) So all in all it was a good night and I was happy to be part of it. Anyways, thanks for all the continuous support and I'll talk to you all later. The other show was a last minute offer, and it's a benefit to raise money for a friend of mine Larry Wayne Clark. Larry and I have written a number of songs together and unfortunately he is battling out Cancer right now.. He's receiving treatment as we speak, so I'm sure all your prayers would be very comforting and helpful to him during this time. The benefit for Larry will be held...

To change the subject, my dog Todd was put to rest this past Wednesday and as hard as it was to not only let him go, but in my case not even be there for his last few days, I'm comforted knowing he's up in doggy Heaven having the time of his life with our other dog Ginger.. My other dog Ginger was always the motherly type to Todd, cleaning his ears and making sure he was in top notch shape lol.. I'll miss them both.. Just wanted to let you all know that last night's Ronald McDonald House fundraiser was a huge success!! Between the silent auction items and all the many other donations, $27,000 was raised to go towards the building of the House in Red Deer!! It felt so good to get up on stage and sing last night and I was given yet again such a warm welcoming from the audience, so thank you to all of you :0) Cathy and Jim, I can't thank you both enough for giving me this opportunity. You both put in many hours of dedication and hard work to lift this off the ground and you make it happen and I appreciate it very much. I look forward to next year!! Hello out there... I hope you're all doing well and life's treating you good. I'm in Red Deer, Alberta Canada right now gearing up to to do the 6th Annual Adam Helps The House fundraiser benefit to help out the Ronald McDonald House. This year especially is a much anticipated year because they've broke ground on the new house. This house, I've been told, is going to have 11 or more rooms, which will house a lot of families while their children await treatment. It's really a great cause and I feel so honored to be a small part of the progress for the 6th year in a row and a huge thank you to the supporters that have come out every year to show their compassion. Prior to being here I spent last week in Arizona and I loved it! I was there doing a show with my buddy Matt Farris, for the Phoenix Home Based Youth Services. I can not believe how fast this week has flown by though. I flew up to Canada on the 23rd and already it's the 27th and I'm leaving to head back on the 30th. It was so great seeing the family again and unfortunately it may be the last time I see my dog. He's gonna be celebrating or not celebrating his 19th birthday. For his breed of dog (Cockapoo), he's already beat the odds and has out lived a lot of dogs, I'm sure, of his kind. I think when it comes to pets of any kind though, it's us as humans that want to keep them around for as long as we can, when really it's not always the best thing for the pet. I don't want to let him go but the reality of the matter is that I'm probably gonna have to and that's not gonna be fun. Anyways, sorry to put a damper on the journal... 2/27/2010: CRS, Digital Rodeo & Cadillac Ranch

I had an awesome time down at Cadillac Ranch in Nashville last night! It was a show put on by Digital Rodeo, who have been great supporters of mine. A few days ago, I got a call from my buddy Tim Gates of the band Due West asking me if I'd like to attend the show. So I went and met up with them and had a great time. The show itself didn't start till probably after 11pm, but I sure was fortunate enough to run into a lot of familiar faces that I've met along my musical journey. There was a whole lineup of artist there last night, Buddy Jewel, Bryan White, Andy Griggs, Due West, and Bomshel, just to name a few. The house was packed like a can of sardines. Now I don't know about any of you, but I tried to fit into a can of sardines once and it was a pretty difficult situation, haha, just kidding. Anyways, I ended up getting out of there probably around 1 am, kinda a late night but very worth it being that I was able to meet so many great people again. Oh, by the way in case you're wondering, this was all pertaining to CRS week here in Nashville. Speaking of CRS, earlier in the day yesterday, I met up with my team from AristoMedia and took in a little of the CRS festivities down at the Nashville Convention Center. At first when I got there I ran into my buddy Mark Woods, who is the Executive Director for Operation Troop Aid and he presented me with yet another incredible gift. It was a United States Flag folded up neatly and housed in a picture frame casing along with a Certificate of Authenticity, stating that this US flag had been flown over Afghanistan while conducting area reconnaissance operation in a 7th Cavalry Regiment. Wow that was a mouth full, but again I was so honored to have received this from Mark and I'm so proud to show my support to all the men and women out there serving in the US, in Canada and from around the world.. Thanks to all of you for your sacrifices and for your hearts... We love you all! :) I also went to a Capital Records Nashville luncheon event, where they had Emily West and Eric Church as guest performers. I had to leave before Eric's show, but I saw Emily West perform and she did a great job! 2/10/2010: Upcoming Benefits

Hey everyone... I hope you’re all doing well and still keeping warm. It’s still a little on the chilly side down here, but I guess that's just my blood thinning out on me, lol. I've been working hard at writing and have written some more great songs recently! Besides that I've been practicing singing and playing the guitar a lot, keeping the vocal chords in shape. I'm super excited for the show coming up in Canada. Again I'm honored to be taking part in the Ronald McDonald fundraiser in Red Deer, Alberta. This, I think, will mark my 6th year of attending and it’s been amazing every single time. This year especially will be very exciting because they're gonna start laying the foundation for the new Ronald McDonald House in Red Deer! It's nice to know that I will have a small part in the creation of that. Something else that just recently came in that I snatched up, is a show happening in Phoenix, Arizona on the 19th of March. I was contacted by a very enthused Phoenix based singer/entertainer Matt Farris. Matt tried his luck on season 6 of Nashville Star and since then has been keeping himself very busy from what he's told me, performing all over Phoenix and surrounding areas. He gave me a call and expressed the fact that he was a big supporter of mine and that he would love to have me be a part of a benefit show to bring awareness to the Phoenix HomeBased Youth Services. I told Matt I would do whatever I could to arrange to get there and thankfully it's been made possible for me to attend and help out, so I'm really looking forward to that. If any of you are in the Phoenix area during that time, I'd love to see you out at the show to support this cause and work towards a difference. I'll be doing an acoustic performance and Matt and his band, Dirty Country, will be performing as well, so it'll be a real fun night! Hey guys, it seems as though it's been a long time no talk. Just wanted to check in and see how things are going. I've been working hard continuing with my writing. I called up some of my writer buddies the beginning of last week and before I knew it my week was full of writing sessions. I wrote with Billy Dean, Spade and Due West! Billy Dean you would know from many hit songs he's had throughout his career, "Billy The Kid", "If There Hadn't Been You", "Let Them Be Little" just to name a few. Due West has had a hit song on their hands as well with "I Get That All The Time", it's a great song and just a great bunch of dudes. My buddy Spade as I've learned to find out is not only one of Nashville's top studio musicians but he's also a hit songwriter. So all in all it was a real pleasure to write with these writers and we got some great songs out of it all! Anyways, I hope you're all staying safe and warm and I look forward to talking to you soon. 11/16/09: Show Last Night!

Hey y'all, just wanted to fill you in as to how the show went last night. It was in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia at the Rodeo Lounge. The event was to raise money for Leukemia patients and their families, and it turned out to be an awesome evening. Derek Cain, whom Barry and I got to know before the show had told us about his story and what he had gone through being a Leukemia survivor himself and he truly became an inspiration to me hearing how positive he was about life. Derek had met us at the hotel early yesterday morning and we all went over to FX 101.9 where I played "What It Takes" live on the air. After leaving the radio station, Derek invited us over to his place for breakfast, and his wife June cooked up a very tasty breakfast for us all. Being that I didn't get much sleep the night prior, I went back to the hotel after that and slept for about 2 1/2 hours before having to go to soundcheck at 3pm. We did soundcheck and Carla the club owner was nice enough to feed the band and I a great meal. (Does it seem like all we do is eat? LOL) The show last night started at 10:30 pm and I did a 90 minute set. I tell you, the audience last night was incredible. I've done a lot of shows in my time to small crowds and big crowds and there are certain ones that stand out in my mind for being the loudest crowds and this I would definitely have to put near the top of the list for loud. There were times while I was singing, when I couldn't even hear myself over the audience. I swear they knew every word to pretty much every song. I was certainly blown away by that, and it helped to make a great evening for us. In closing I just wanted to say it was a real honor to help out the cause last night and thank you to Derek, Carla, Russ and Nikki from FX 101.9 for the support, I'll never forget it. Now Barry and I are sitting here in the Halifax airport and we have some time to kill before our flight. Our final destination is Cleveland, I'm going to sing at a church there tomorrow morning and then again later that night and we'll follow that up by the showing my new movie WWJD. I'm curious to see how it goes, I hope the people dig the movie, It has a very positive message that can touch people in several different ways. 11/4/09: What I Did For Halloween

Hi guys!

Just stopping in to say hi. I spent the weekend in Indiana with family- it’s a great place to be at Halloween because the leaves are turning colors now and falling down like snow. It’s beautiful driving down the country roads. Didn't get to experience the whole trick or treating thing this year, but made up for it by visiting Bonds Chapel gravesite. You're probably thinking, “Wow, what's exciting about that?” But here’s the deal- anyone that lives in that area knows about some of the haunting stories that come out of that graveyard, and it was an experience to do it on Halloween. I don't have any real freaky stories to share with y'all, but it was still kinda chilling to go there. Have any of you seen the new Step Father movie yet? I went and saw that in Indiana as well and it was pretty good. I recommend it to anyone that's up for a bit of thriller. I don't want to forget to mention I had a very enjoyable visit to NDHS High School. It wasn't planned at all- just a last-minute decision. I went and entertained pretty much half the school, I'd say. The minute I started singing “Crazy Days,” people started piling in. When I got to “What It Takes,” there were quite a few students gathered around singing and mouthing along. That kinda spur of the moment stuff is neat to do and from what I heard, it made the students’ day, which, in turn, made my day. Now I'm back in Nashville and getting to enjoy the sunny weather for a bit. The days are getting shorter and shorter now and colder the later it gets, but I'm used to the cold for the most part…or am I? Hahah. I've been here for awhile now and I believe my blood has thinned out a lot, so I don't think I'm as used to the cold as I used to be. lol Anyways, I hope y'all have a great rest of the evening and I'll talk to you later. 10/20/09: The ICM Awards & Update On WWJD

Just wanted to let you all know that the ICM awards went very well here in TN. It was nice having the support of my family and friends in the audience and it was great being able to meet and hang out with all the talented musicians and artist that were on the show. The day prior to doing the award show my manager and I were in LA and had a couple good visits with some churches in the area, where we premiered my movie, WWJD. We were very happy with the turnouts and if that was any indication as to how the rest of our Church visits will go, we're really going to have a great time. Kevan who is the Director of the movie was our tour guide in LA taking us everywhere from the original Guitar Center, all over Beverly Hills, and to the City Walk. From a distance we were able to see the cemetery where they laid Michael Jackson to rest. So all in all it was a great visit to LA. Other than that I'm continually working on music and keeping myself busy. I hope y'all have a great day, and week and God Bless!

10/8/09: Drayton Valley

Hello, everyone!

It is now 1:30 AM here in Edmonton, and I'm getting ready for bed. We had a great turn-out in Drayton Valley for the show on Saturday night. It was called the R.E.A.C.H Foundation, and it was to raise money to build an orphanage in Kenya, Africa. This orphanage will eventually shelter 50 kids who desperately need the help. My heart certainly goes out to them, and that I was able to help out in a small way was a true blessing. I'm having some good quality time with my family again, and my road manager Barry and his wife Vivian are up here as well. Barry took Vivian to West Edmonton Mall yesterday and practically spent the whole day there, which isn't hard to do. It's Vivian's first time here so it wouldn't have been right for her to leave Edmonton without seeing the mall. That mall is so large that between the two levels, you can easily spend a whole day there. The two of them will now be spending the next few days in Jasper (the Rocky Mountains) and it is absolutely beautiful there. I highly advise anyone that hasn't had a chance to take in the Rockies to do so- you won't be disappointed. I can assure you of that. I love my dog Todd cause right now he is stretched out on my bed next to me passed out- lol. Todd is now 17 years old- hard to believe- he's been such a good dog all these years. Well, according to some weather reports I'm hearing, my home town of Edmonton will be seeing some good ole snow fall before long. I remember growing up and being able to build snow forts and snow angels in the backyard and all that- it was good times. It's been unpredictable the last few years whether or not we'll get much snow. We don't seem to get as much now-a-days as we used to. A few years ago we didn't have any snow at Christmas time. Christmas here in Edmonton just feels a little odd without snow; it just doesn't seem complete without it. Not to mention I love snowmobiling. Well, I'm starting to see the inside of my eyelids so I better call it a night now. I hope y'all have a great day tomorrow or shall I say today. God Bless y'all.

9/27/09: Adam Update

Hey everyone, I hope y'all are having a great weekend. I've just been here at home practicing my guitar and I'm gonna hook up with some friends later this afternoon. I noticed I hadn't mentioned anything about how the Leonard Cohen Tribute show went last week, so I thought I would fill you in. The show was a success, thanks to the great bunch of folks who worked together to make everything run so smoothly. Adam Cohen flew in from LA to be a part of the show, so even though we didn’t have Leonard Cohen present, his son was there, so that was cool. It was such an honor to work with all the talented artists, organizers and, of course, my band that backed everybody up during the show. On another note, I was actually gonna go canoeing today. It would have been my first time doing that, but there have been flash flood warnings all day here in Nashville so I'm not gonna take the chance- although a boat would probably be one of the safer places to be with all this rain. Ha-ha. Other than that, I'm excited about going home again on October 1st. I have a few shows up that way that I'm looking forward to doing. Take care everyone and God Bless!

9/15/09: Hello from Canada!

I made it home safely this past Sunday and have been spending some good quality time with my family. The Leonard Cohen show is on Friday the 18th. The first official rehearsal will begin tonight at 7:00 pm. I've been practicing a ton for this show as I've mentioned in previous journals. Learning my Leonard Cohen selection will be cool because my band is the house band for that entire show. I haven't seen the band in a little while so I'm looking forward gigging!

One of the things I love about coming come is we have a fire pit in the backyard. Sunday night the whole family hung out after I arrived from the airport. We sat around the fire, talked, roasted marshmallows and grilled on the BBQ. Nothing like good company and good food! That's the simple sort of stuff I love.

I spent the day cruising around town yesterday in my parents’ truck. I think I'm going do a little bit more of that again today before tonight's rehearsal.

9/10/09: Still In Nashville

Hello everyone!

I’m just here at home in Nashville gearing up to watch the Mothman Prophecies for the second time. HA! I love movies like that! The weather has been nice in Nashville lately. I went out and washed my truck the other day. It was a perfect day for it.

I wrote yesterday with Nicole Witt and Jeff Ross. We came up with a pretty cool song called "Look Inside". The writing has been going well. I'm getting a good variety of songs, which is never a bad thing.

On another note, I don't know if they sell this product up in Canada, but in Nashville they have this type of Cereal (which I'm loving) called Oat n’ Wheat Bran Swirls. I discovered it at Trader Joe's and I've been hooked ever since.

I'm heading back to Canada on the 12th for that Leonard Cohen show. Also, I missed both my mom and nephew's birthday, so we'll probably celebrate again while I'm home. My mom said just having me home will be a gift in itself, but maybe I can convince her that we should all go out to dinner!

8/26/09: Practicing Leonard Cohen Songs

Hey everyone, how's it going? I'm here at my loft, and I’ve been practicing a bunch on the Leonard Cohen songs. I'm feeling more and more confident the more and more I practice them. I'm sure some of you are reading this and wondering what I'm talking about- well, let me just fill you in a little. Leonard Cohen is known for the countless number of songs he's written over the years for himself and for other well-known artists. There's going to be a Leonard Cohen tribute show in my hometown of Edmonton, AB, on August 18th, which I've been asked to be a part of. It's a great opportunity as well as an honor to have been asked. I'm learning 5 of his songs right now, so that's kept me pretty occupied today. Since the last e-mail, I've had some shows here in the US as well, in both Wichita and Kansas City, which went over very well. The show in Wichita was originally an acoustic event, but Chad and Dustin both accompanied me, giving the audience a little bit more. The show itself was to raise money for the American Cancer Society, so hopefully we were able to help out a little bit. Thanks to Melissa Easterburg and everyone else involved with the organization- we had a great time. Earlier in the day before the show, I stopped in at Kissin Country 102.1 and went on-air with Rick Reagan. We chatted for a whole hour, had a bunch of laughs, and it was just an all-around great interview. Rick was able to make it out that night and catch our show at Sam's Place, which was the name of the club. Thank you to Rick and everyone at Kissin Country for all the support. The next thing on my to do list is obviously the Leonard Cohen show on the 18th in Canada, but up until then I'll be hooking up with some writers here in Nashville and hopefully with enough prayers we'll be able to get some good songs writing. 8/1/09: On The Road

How’s everyone doing this weekend? I'm doing well, but at the moment I have a headache I'm trying to get rid of. I think it has a lot to do with the heat and humidity here in Nashville.

Yesterday my manager and I drove to Owensville, Missouri. We met up with my band to do a show at the Owensville fair. Trent Tomlinson was also on the bill for the evening’s entertainment. It was good to hang out with him and his band again, not to mention it was a great evening show and crowd wise. There was a lot of livestock at this fair, as well! I took some time to walk around the grounds to take it all in. There were cows, horses, a couple elephants, dog shows, so as you can tell there was a lot of entertainment for the families. It was good that I drove my truck there because after the show we dropped the band off at their hotel. Then, Lawrence and I headed back to Nashville. Five hours later (at about 5:00 in the morning) we arrived back to Nashville.

I'm getting excited for the 4th of August to roll around because I'm heading back up to Canada to do a show in Darwell, Alberta. I'll get to see my family, which I'm always thankful for. My parents are super excited about the deck my dad is building on our house. I'm looking forward to lounging around on it with them. He has had plans to build a deck on the front of the house for quite sometime, but was just waiting for the right time do it. That time is now! I saw the progress of the deck the last time I made it home and it looked awesome, can't wait to see it this time around!

7/1/09: Happy Canada Day & Happy 4th of July!

Happy Canada Day to all my Canadian fans!! Also, Happy early 4th of July to my American fans!

I'm home here in Edmonton with my family just chilling in our living room watching some TV. I just got done having dinner at the Olive Garden with family and friends. It was delicious. I so appreciate being back here for not only the fact of seeing my family, friends and fans, but also just to be able to sit in the backyard on the deck at my parents’ house and reminisce on memories while my dogs are jumping up at me wanting to play. Actually, only one dog has the energy for that, my dog, Tod, is going on 16. The age is really starting to catch up to his brittle little body. I took them for a walk while taking my niece and nephew to the park the other day and Tod unexpectedly got a burst of energy. For a moment, I thought I had my little energized, excited pup back, but unfortunately, it didn't last.

I had a fun day with my sis and niece and nephew today. We took in the Canada Day festivities in Sherwood Park at the Millenium Park area and it was great for the kids, especially. Aubrie and Joe got their faces painted and we were all just able to spend some quality time together, which comes few and far between lately.

I'm not a parent yet, but could imagine it must be hard to see your children grow up so fast. I'm just the uncle and its shocking to me to see how fast they are growing up and becoming their own little individuals. Sure, you want them to grow up healthy and have a good life, but keeping them young remains at the top of the list.

Well, Barry flies into Edmonton tomorrow just after 1:00 in the afternoon, so we'll go pick him up…or not… Haha. Just kiddin’. Then, we will head for Calgary on Friday. I'm looking forward to playing the Calgary Stampede! Previous years have been awesome and memorable and I look forward to seeing what this year brings. Well, with a successful CMA (Fan Fair) week in Nashville and being able to meet so many great music lovers, to a show back home in Canada and spending a very productive week in the Smokey Mountains along with some writing friends on a Christian writers retreat, I can’t complain and I can be very thankful for God’s Blessings.

Thank you all for continually letting me share my music with y’all and for your continued comments on my MySpace, Facebook and Twitter pages. I’m excited about the things in the works. With upcoming shows in both the US and Canada to the WWJD movie, which is coming closer and closer to being finalized, its definitely good times!

I head to Denver mid-July for the premier of WWJD. Having not seen any of the footage yet, I am eagerly waiting to see the final movie, as I’m sure you could imagine! There is a trailer to view on WWJDmovie.com which gives an idea to what it is going be like, and I’m very pleased with how it looked! It was such a great opportunity to play a roll in this movie and can’t wait for y’all to see it!

I head home on the 29th of June, because I’m playing at the Calgary Stampede on the 3rd. This is a very big event held every year and attracts so many people from around the world. In addition to being a part of the Stampede, I’ll get that extra time with my family, which is always priceless. The last time I was home was the 14th through to the 20th of June, I had a chance to go see the Pixar movie, Up, with my Mom and Dad and niece. It was a great movie. There were some emotional points throughout it for sure!

I also did a show last night in Memphis for KIXX 106 on an outside stage downtown in front of a lot of excited fans. It was just me and my guitar! I played 35 minutes and, besides the sweltering heat, it went over very well. I usually sweat anyway when I perform, but add even more heat... bad combination! Haha. It felt and looked as though I had just walked out of shower. lol. Joey & Rory and Justin Moore followed the stage after me and they did very well, too.

Anyhow, that’s it summed up in a nutshell. I’m sure a lot of you have been able to see my Twitter messages to keep you up to date, I’ve been having fun with Twitter! Its cool! Oh, and before I forget… in the contest on my website in regards to getting to know me, I’ve read the comments on there and I just want to say thank you! Just letting y'all know that I'm now back in Nashville after an amazing movie shoot in LA.. Like I had mentioned in my last journal it was such an amazing experience for many reasons. The actors and actresses were great to work with , plus all the crew members were very nice and easy going.The meaning of the movie tops off everything though and conveys a very positive message and I'm very excited for you all to see it. Well, the weather sure has been nice except for today, they're forecasting rain for today and tomorrow here in Nashville, but I love it anyway. I've found that most people here in Nashville get a little tense when it comes to driving in a little rain or snow, I on the other hand love it. I don't know what amuses me so much about it. I guess I turn into a big kid when it comes to driving through puddles and such, haha.. Anyways, hope y'all are doing well and I'll be in touch with you soon.. God Bless!

5/8/09: On The Set Of WWJD

I’m thrilled to inform you all that the filming of WWJD is going so well! It never ceases to amaze me to watch how God is guiding me. This is yet another opportunity and blessing that I’ve been given to be a part of and having the opportunity not only to play a character in a movie with such a strong message, but having the opportunity to work with such gifted and talented actors and actresses is so cool. I would have never thought in a million years that I would get to act let alone jam on the guitar with John Shneider as though we were around a campfire just singing and letting the music play, but it’s become a reality and let me tell you this, he is one of the nicest, coolest guys I’ve met and worked with. Really, every person and every character in this movie or associated with this movie is top notch in my books. I say it like that, because the atmosphere is so laid back and relaxed feeling, and everyone has been super nice, which is not always the case. I’ve heard horror stories of other movie sets, where niceness is not considered in their vocabulary and things get stressful, but that’s not the case here.. I’m having so much Fun!! I’ll talk to you guys soon, I have an early set call tomorrow so I really should be getting some sleep now. Hope you’re all doing well, I miss y’all and I’ll talk to you soon. God Bless!

Staring in New Film "WWJD"

(Nashville, Tennessee - May 4, 2009) Country recording artist Adam Gregory has signed on to co-star in the upcoming film "WWJD" based on one of the best-selling Christian books of all-time.

Based on the classic Charles Sheldon book, "In His Steps: What Would Jesus Do," the novel currently sells an average of 100,000 copies per year and is available in 26 languages around the world. More than 40 million copies have been sold since it was written in 1896, second only to the Bible.

Gregory will star in the film alongside John Schneider (The Dukes of Hazzard tv show, Nip/Tuck, CSI, Smallville) and Maxine Bahns (The Mentalist, The Lost Tribe).

"My faith and my music are very closely related," says Gregory. "I feel truly blessed for an opportunity where I can incorporate both into a project that serves a bigger purpose and will hopefully reach millions of others."

Gregory's original song "What Would Jesus Do," from his recent Canadian release Crazy Days, will also be featured in the film. The song was co-written by Keith Follese and Billy Yates.

The film, produced by Joe and Jack Nasser and Kevin Otto of Nasser Entertainment Group, follows four individuals (a singer, a newspaper editor, a wealthy philanthropist and a minister who has lost his faith) as they vow to walk in "the steps of Jesus."

Filming on the project begins this week in Los Angeles, CA.

I do apologize for the cancellation of shows, but I will come back energized and more eager then ever. I could look at this time off as a complete negative if that's the path I choose, but I only shoot for the positives in life and I know the good Lord will make the grass greener on the other side allowing a recovery. I do hope y'all are doing well and were able to spend Easter with friends and family. It is with great disappointment that I must announce the cancellation of several of my dates and appearances for the next few weeks. I am battling a throat condition from being sick which the doctors have informed me can only be properly treated with rest. Unfortunately, that means I will be unable to perform until further notice. I truly hate this, but I want to take the best care of my vocal chords, which are my lifeline! I want to be back touring and seeing you guys AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! My fans mean the world to me, and I want to thank all of you for your concern, support, understanding, and prayers. I will make this up to you, and can't wait to see you all soon.

4/2/09: Wisconsin, Pittsburgh, & Canada Album Promotion!

Wisconsin - land of the famous cheese curds and home to none other then Brad Austin (known for his top notch DJ'ing skills on Q106). He's one of the coolest dudes out there. He stops at nothing to make every one of our visits to Wisconsin as memorable and fun as possible. I also want to mention the tremendous support that he and everybody at the station has given me on my records. We were lucky enough to be able to play the Scatz club in Madison. Not only was it a great club atmosphere, but the people were awesome and treated us very well. It was ladies night at the club so there was a nice little crowd to play for.

The next day we flew to Pittsburgh where the band and I played another Soles4Souls show at The Saddle Ridge. We played along with Kate and Kacey (The Coppolas). I definitely like to thank Frank and everyone from FROGGY for all their support on my records from day one. I would also like to thank Chachi for helping us have a great visit to the station.

Canada, Canada here we come!! I was super excited to be able to fly home and do the Ronald McDonald event for the 5th year in a row. We were able to raise about $30,000 for the Ronald McDonald House and managed to break the $100,000 mark for all the five years combined. Thanks to my good friend, Cathy Fowler, for her continuous belief in me, and all that she does on behalf of the house. What really puts things into perspective for me is to hear the stories every year directly from the people the house has helped. I can't tell you what a sense of joy it brings my heart to offer a helping hand and see the difference it makes in peoples’ lives.

From Red Deer, AB my family, most of the band, and I drove back to Edmonton. I had Sunday, the following day, off with my family. Barry, my road manager, flew up to Canada with me. There was snow covering the ground, but, as Barry would say, he had his Jimmy Wayne coat to keep him warm - lol. We made the best with the time we were given, and my family and I took Barry over to West Edmonton Mall. Needless to say, I think Barry was quite blown away with how big the mall actually was! I believe that Barry may now be obligated to take his wife and daughter to the mall sometime down the road for a shopping spree – haha. Sorry, Barry, I had to do it man. Sunday went by all to fast then Monday rolled around. I had a promo day in Edmonton for my new album "Crazy Days." Megan, my record rep from Canada spent all morning taking us to different locations. I visited BT (Breakfast Television) where I did an interview and played both “Crazy Days” and “What It Takes” live. Following that, I did an interview for Access TV/C-TV. Once I finished that we headed over to CFCW, and I had an on air interview with Stella. I've been through CFCW a lot in the past ten years of my career, so it was great seeing them all again. CFCW is situated right inside West Edmonton Mall so when people walk by they can actually see into the studio headquarters. I was pleasantly surprised when my good friend Hank showed up to say hi. Hank and I go back a little ways. We used to sing around the campfire at our friend Hal's yearly fish fry. Unfortunately, Hal has passed on so I'm not sure if the fish fry will live on or not, but there certainly were a lot of good memories made. So all in all, as I'm sure you can tell, it was a very productive day. That's not even mentioning my CD release party that Chris Sheetz from CISN hosted for me later that night. Before the release party I stopped in at the CISN Country station and did an interview on air with Chris. I also performed a live acoustic version of "Down The Road.” The original thought behind my CD release party was to have a small intimate crowd; however, after Chris heard that I would be bringing about 40 family members, he opened the flood gates. The night of the show there was a crowd of over 300. I was just as excited to see the fans as they were to see me. Mark, Robin, David, and myself played about six songs acoustically. I signed autographs after to practically everyone in the house and sold close to 100 CD's. It sure is nice to see and feel the support I still get from my dedicated Canadian fans to this day. Y'all know that you ROCK! I felt kinda bad that night because I didn't get the preferred amount of time I would've liked to have to chat with everyone. We had to rush off because we were in such a hurry to catch a flight to Calgary. Chris mentioned to everyone I had to rush to catch a plane, and, thankfully, they all understood.

My family took us to the airport after that, and we were on our way to Calgary. I pretty much had the same kind of promo day in Calgary as I did in Edmonton. First I visited the Country 105 studios for an on air interview and acoustic performance. After that I made an appearance at Calgary's BK (Breakfast T.V.). I wanna thank Greg, another record rep., for all his help in Calgary while we were there. I did a taped interview with The City Show, CITY T.V. in the same building as BK. This time it was just an interview segment for the show. After having been away from Canada for quite some time, there's a lot that people are interested to know such as what I've been up to and about the album, etc. The next visit I made was to Calgary FM. I was interviewed by Phoenix and then had a two song acoustic performance. It was my first time in that studio because it's fairly new, but I left with a positive feeling about it. To end the day in Calgary, we stopped by another Ronald McDonald House. Not only did I have the honor of once again meeting the families staying there, but I also had the chance to sing for them as well. There is so much LOVE and WARMTH running through that house. It tugs at the ole heart strings to know the difference being made there by helping these families out.

From there Greg rushed Barry and I to the airport, and we caught our flight to Las Vegas. I'm here in Vegas now and excited about attending the ACM Awards on Sunday. You guys have a great night, okay, and I will talk y'all soon!

3/24/09: Touring Last Week!

We've been super busy this past week traveling and playing lots of shows. The recent shows I've done have benefited Soles4Souls. We've been fortunate enough to raise money for the organization. Our Knoxville show went very well and I'd like to thank WIVK for all their support and involvement in the cause. I actually went by the station earlier that day and was interviewed by Alan Jackson - OH, I mean Gunner - lol.. Gunner is an absolute spitting image of Alan Jackson, and supposedly his wife looks a lot like Alan's wife as well. What are the odds of that? Gunner said that that's the reason he hadn't been to the CMA's or ACM's in a while because he couldn't go anywhere without people coming up to him asking for autographs and such, lol. I thought it was pretty funny, and Gunner if you are reading this, sorry one more thing and then I will let this rest. Gunner said that last year during the CMA's somebody called into the station claiming that the show is taped and not live. This person said this because they were sitting in a restaurant and saw Gunner thinking he was Alan, yet saw Alan on the award show too, lol.

Mike from the station is awesome as well and was introducing me to everyone at Cotton Eyed Joe's that night, so thanks for everything Mike and for all the support. I want to also mention that we had a few of our dedicated fans at the show - Bert and Melanie, who usually spoil us with cookies! At this show, Bert handed me a cookie the size of my face, which is a pretty big face, lol. Needless to say that poor cookie didn't stand a chance when the 8 people in the band got their hands on it! haha. Thanks Melanie and Bert and I hope to see Wyvetta out again soon. Chattanooga was our next stop and this was promoted by US 101. I had a station visit there as well with Dex and Big Al, and both of them were so awesome to me and complimentary...which is always nice. That night we played at the Rhythm & Brews bar, It was a two level club right near the big Tennessee Aquarium, with a cozy atmosphere to it. We played a 90-minute set. Earlier in the day, the band and I were a little adventurous and went up the Incline Railway. This train goes right up the side of Lookout Mountain and is said to be the fastest man made transportation in the world for any kind of mountain lift/train. I took some pics on my phone as well as video footage for my AG-TV, which y'all will be able to see soon.

Our next gig was in Tucson, AZ. We actually flew into Phoenix, rented a couple of vans and then drove to Tucson. In Tucson, we played at the Cactus Moon. I visited KIIM-FM earlier in the day where I was welcomed by the lovely Lois Lewis who has been nothing but supportive of me. They had a little pup running around the station while we were there (a little baby lab named Huffley) and it was adorable. I got to meet some nice folks while we were there too, and I was smothered in hugs by a little girl at the station. She was awesome! The club really pumped us up, and was supportive of the whole Soles4Souls promotion. They really did it right and got the crowd pumped for the show! As well as having a great crowd, I had some fellow Canadians attend the show. They were sitting in the front row. I also had some other friends of mine from the Phoenix area come out. The next day we traveled back to Phoenix where I was reunited with my great friends at KMLE. I did a dinner with some winners at Cadillac Ranch and it was great because I got to hang with Gwen and her daughter and 4 other guests.

The show later that night was held right in the square of Tempe Marketplace. I've been there before a few times, but never to play. The weather couldn't have been any better for us. Thanks to Gwen Foster for being a huge supporter and friend, and for helping this show be a success.

From Phoenix we hopped a flight to Colorado Springs. I did a show at the Carey On Saloon and LeShawn and everybody at the club were so great...thanks guys! We can't wait to come back! And thanks to Cat Country for putting this show together with us! Letty and Lindsey -two of my biggest supporters- surprised us by coming out and they were bearing gifts with them! A big box filled with homemade cookies, brownies, chocolate covered pretzels and much much more...filling this box to the rim. It was incredible! Thank you Letty and Lindsey, you two are so awesome and I really appreciate you both. This point in the journal brings me to where we are now...Norfolk, VA. We have a show with Kate & Kacey Coppola at the Saddle Ridge tonight. This is sponsored by The Eagle and I'm looking forward to seeing my friend Shomby and Mark from the station! Hey everyone, I hope you’ve all had a great week.

I’ve been staying busy traveling all over the place and singing my songs. Also I’ve literally had my phone strapped to my ear calling my friends at radio stations across not only the U.S, but Canada as well. For any of my Canadian fans/friends who are reading this, I figured you might want to know that my brand new album is set for release in Canada on March 24th. I’m super excited that it’s finally coming out. To my new American friends/fans, I'm excited that it is going to be released in the U.S later this year as well.

In other news, I had the opportunity to write with Billy Dean this past week. Billy has had lots of success with songs such as “Let Them Be Little,” “Billy The Kid,” and the list goes on. I actually just recently found out that Billy and Richie McDonald (former lead singer from Lonestar) wrote “Let Them Be Little” together. My parents get emotional every time they hear that song. I guess when you’re a parent, a song like that hits you a little differently and tugs at the ole heart strings. If there is anything that I miss telling you guys about I do, I apologize because everything is important to me it’s just that we cover so many things in a given week, it’s hard to keep track of it all.

Some of my more memorable moments that stick out in my mind though, is us going to Jordan’s Furniture in Boston, for my friends from WKLB. The event was based around their St. Jude Marathon, to raise lots of money for St. Jude. I met a 12-year old boy there named Colt who completely inspired me and showed me another reason why St. Jude is a blessing. Colt has already had to overcome so many obstacles in regards to his health for such a young guy, and he’ll tell you himself that he’s thankful and owes a lot to St. Jude. This young man totally blew me away and I guess if you had to go through everything he’s gone through in his life, it would force you to have to grow up a little faster. I just sat down and chatted with him one on one and seriously, I have never before met a young man like him. I say young man because he’s so much beyond a 12-year olds maturity and way of thinking. I really felt like I was sitting there talking to an adult. I gave him my number and we're going to keep in touch. I’ve talked to Colt now a few times on the phone and he left me a message a few days back giving me the total earnings for WKLB's St. Jude Radiothon...and it was over $400,000, WOW!! Think of how much that’s going to help out. And Colt, if you are reading this buddy, I’ll keep you in my prayers bro.

This Jordan's Furniture place where I performed was absolutely amazing. The area where I performed had all these things made out of Jellybeans. I think I heard there were about 35 million jellybeans in there, it was crazy. And, they were giving trapeze lessons...all kinds of stuff. Pretty cool place. After I performed at Jordan's, I went to dinner with Mike & Ginny from WKLB. They are such great people. Their son Ben came too, he's such a great kid. And, my labelmates - Kate & Kacey Coppola joined us for dinner as well, we had a great time. I'm looking forward to several more dates on the road with them. Thanks to Ginny & Mike and WKLB for having me in for the St. Jude Show, I'm so happy to have been a part of it.

The next morning Shelley, Mark and myself flew to Sacramento. Upon arrival, we immediately headed to visit with my friends from KNCI. I went on the air with Greg Cole, and totally unexpected when we got there, Richie McDonald was in the studio already and asked if I’d like to sit in with him. I thought that was pretty cool, so I went in and we all chatted. One of the first tours I ever went on in Canada was with Lonestar, so I figured it was a great opportunity to share some of my experiences with them, and all three of us were laughing. It’s great memories, and Richie is one of the coolest people. That night David Nail, myself and Richie did an acoustic show for an audience of about 2000 screaming girls. Yep, you guessed it, it was “Girls Night Out”. The three of us and maybe a hand full of other guys who were working there were the only guys allowed, lol. It was an awesome show we had so much fun. Thanks to Greg and Mark from KNCI for inviting me to be on the show. Later on that night, I was talking to Richie a little more and asked if he would consider writing with me sometime and he said he would love to, so hopefully we'll make that happen.

Now I’m at home in Nashville and it’s been a relaxing Sunday. My evening is looking open so I’m just gonna take advantage of the time and relax... Talk to y’all soon and have a great evening and week ahead.

3/6/09: CRS Week Wrap Up

Hey y'all! How you been? Things have been going real well for me...

This year's CRS (Country Radio Seminar) was held this past week in Nashville. It was a success and we got a lot accomplished in our three days there! I am in Muskegon, Michigan right now though, and the weather has been rainy and somewhat gloomy ever since we arrived, and not looking to let up at all.

I've really been getting into the AG TV flip videos a lot lately. They are being uploaded to my site for all of you to see real soon. I started doing AG TV so that all of you could see what the behind-the-scenes stuff looks like - kind of like a visual to the journals I already write. So, please go check out AG TV! Speaking more on the CRS topic though, besides having done back to back interviews and tons of mingling, the band and I were given the opportunity to play in the Nashville Convention Center at the CRS New Faces Cocktail Reception. It was a prime time and prime location to capture a radio audience and I think we did just that. Not only was it great to see my radio friends I've gotten to know this past year, but for them to come watch the show and stick around even when the doors to the New Faces Show opened early....THAT was awesome!

Also, on Friday night I performed at Cadillac Ranch down on Broadway as part of the first ever Digital Rodeo Jam. I was part of a lineup that included a couple dozen other artists that played to a packed house. We each performed Top 40 cover songs, so I did my version of Justin Timberlake's "What Goes Around." It was a lot of fun! Thank you to my friends at Digital Rodeo for inviting me to be part of it. Anyways, I hope y'all can check out my AG TV videos for more of what I've been up to the last little while. And there will be more videos on the way.

2/25/09: #11 on GAC Top Twenty!! Thanks!!!

Hey everyone, how’s it going?

Thank you, thank you, thank you to each and every one of you who voted for “What It Takes” this past week! We debuted on the GAC Top Twenty countdown at #11 - YES! I truly appreciate all the support. Sorry for taking a little bit longer to get this journal out to y’all, but I’ve been so focused on making tons and tons of radio calls recently. An important part of my day is taking time out to show appreciation to everyone who makes it possible for me to have a career in this business, and that is definitely something I believe very strongly in. Radio has been awesome to me down here and in Canada, and I enjoy spending the time -- however long it takes to call them all up and say "hey" and "thank you!"

Something new I've started doing for all you fans is called “ag TV." Basically, we shoot video footage of events taken from the road. It’s mostly me acting goofy, but it's also a look into what we do out on the road, on the bus, in planes and everything in between. It’s an addition to what I already do by writing journals, just more of a visual experience for y’all.

This past week, I did shows with Gary Allan and Blake Shelton, both of which were awesome. The crowds were amazing - 5,000 people at each event! It was a great opportunity for the band and I to get in front of more people and make more fans, which is always the goal. The other night, our flight ended up being so delayed out of L.A. that by the time we got into Austin at 2 am it made no sense for us to get a hotel before our 6 am flight out to Nashville. So, we ended up just camping out in the Austin airport that night. My manager Lawrence has always told me that I should get used to sleeping standing up and sleeping in airports! I guess this was our first introduction to that. I was cool with it though, because there was a vending maching and a chair that I could stretch out in and relax. Mark, Robin and Graham were laid out and snoring on the floor in front of Shelley and I, and there was a few times that we just burst out laughing. I guess we were a little delirious at the time, so everything seemed a lot funnier, haha.

Hey everyone,
I'm back on the bus, taking back a couple of Ice Mountain waters and watching the world pass by. I always say whenever I'm sitting within the walls of this bus with the curtains down, that I could be anywhere. It really puts me in a happy state of mind and I think that's how I manage to enjoy being on the bus so much for so many hours, I love it. I would love to bring all you fans with me out here on the road, but unfortunately the bus isn't big enough. It is barely big enough for 11 dudes, haha.

I told you a few weeks ago about something cool that I was going to be doing with my good friend Gwen Foster from KMLE radio in Phoenix, where she calls me on a weekly basis and we recap the events of my week. Afterwards, she posts our conversation on www.kmle108.com. We talk about everything from my songwriting to what I do in my down time, just about anything that will let people know what goes on in my life on a weekly basis. Anyhow, I did that today with Gwen and we talked for probably 15 minutes or so and I really enjoyed that, as I do every time we talk.

Now we're heading down the road to Springfield, Mo. for a show there. If any of you are from that area, we would love to have you out at the show. The show will be at the Shrine Mosque and the doors are at 7pm. Again would love to see you out. Well, I'm signing out for the night, but you guys take care and stay warm. 2/13/09: Soles4Souls Week Wrap-Up!

This past week has definitely been productive and memorable. Monday morning I went with Lawrence, my manager, over to BMI where I signed an exclusive songwriter agreement deal with BMI. Following that, I met up with Anthony Smith and he and I were inspired to write a really cool song. Although it is unfinished, it has potential to be a great song. 3 o'clock rolled around all too fast that day and Shelley, Mark and myself caught a flight to Detroit where we would find the next few days to be very busy and keep us on our feet. That night in Detroit, we went to dinner with Tim Roberts from WYCD and his wife Lori. We had an enjoyable three-hour visit with them. Tim had the great idea of ordering Peking Duck and it was freakin' awesome! I don't think I've ever had anything like it before. They brought it out on this tray, it was like a whole duck and they cut it up in front of us and then they rolled it up in this special bread and yeah! That's pretty much all I can say about it, It was good.

Not that you guys care, but I have seriously gotten into egg and rice noodles to the point where I can't get enough. If my mom was here... she would be saying to me, "Adam, your going to turn into a gigantic noodle someday if you don't stop eating so much pasta" - ha-ha. Growing up, I was the type of kid that was fussy and would not eat much. When it came to eating pasta, I would lather it up in butter, salt and pepper and be in heaven. I wish I had known about rice noodles and egg noodles then, because they have instantly become my favorite.

Early the next morning, we headed out to do a segment on Fox 2 News in Detroit. Every time I've done T.V. appearances, they've been under a time crunch and everything is so precise and timed down to the last minute. So, Mark and I sound checked within our 2 minutes that we were given during commercial breaks and then played "What It Takes" live on air. Sometimes it gets a little scary singing a song with such range in the morning, but surprisingly enough under those circumstances both of us did well. Following the television appearance, we made several radio stops between Detroit, Flint and Lansing all of which went very well. WYCD was our first stop in Detroit and that was for the Dr. Don, Rachel & Grunwald show… They were great people and it was great fun. Very entertaining!

In Flint, we visited PD April Rose and MD Keith Allen at WFBE "The Bee" and were overtaken with their generosity in providing Chinese food for lunch. If there ever comes a point where my parents wanna trade me, I know that I will have a home with Steph from the station. I think she wanted to adopt me while I was there. Hahaha… Just kidding mom and dad, I love you. Then we made our way down the road to Lansing from Flint, and made a visit with Chris Tyler from WITL, at the Wittle White House. That's really what they call it. I've been there before and Chris has always made us feel welcome. He put us on air and we played a couple songs as well. We headed back to Detroit after that, and wolfed down some fantastic Sushi along with the best edamame you've ever tasted! I was really in the mood to use some fine vocabulary in this journal, but unfortunately I only made it through to the 6th grade and then hit the road running after that. Ha! Just kidding. Anyhow, the next day rolled around and we made a stop in at The Frank Beckmann show. This show has been around for like 75 years and I would have to say that it was one of the coolest interviewers I've ever had. The building that it took place in was historic in itself and I just enjoyed looking at the architecture inside the building. I look forward to seeing Frank again sometime soon.

From there, we rushed to the airport not knowing if we would make our flight because we were starting to push it time wise, but we did and all was good. We caught our flight to Kansas City where we met up with the band.

What a great day it was yesterday in Kansas City. We made our 1st appearance with our friends from The WOLF as part of my "What It Takes 2009" Soles 4 Souls club tour. It is certainly something you need to take part in to know the extent of how caring the charity is. It's amazing that a pair of shoes can make such a significant difference in someone's life. Just imagine you being the one living out on the street no food, same clothes, and a beat up pair of shoes that barely keep your bare feet from touching the ground. Or maybe you'd been through some rough times, and just needed a fresh start. Could you imagine what a brand new pair of shoes with thick soles on them could do to someone like that? Pretty much life changing I'd say, and that's their motto…or OUR motto now…"Changing the World, One pair of shoes at a time." There was a guy there yesterday that said that that was the first time he could remember a pair of shoes actually fitting him properly. I know personally if I had to walk around in shoes that didn't fit me, I'd be miserable and in pain. Please don't think guys for one minute that I'm accusing any of you for not being grateful and appreciative, but this is our chance as a community and as a country to make a noticeable difference. Last night's show in Kansas City at the "Infused Bar" revolved completely around Soles 4 Souls and trying to get people involved in helping out. As we did last night, and as we'll do at future shows coming up, we're going to be handing out numbered flip flops to all single people who come out to shows, and maybe with that numbered flip flop those single people can meet their "sole-mate" as well. It may sound cheesy, but strange things have happened and it's fun.

Shelley went up on stage last night at the gig and informed the audience a little more about Soles 4 Souls and also mentioned to everyone to put their name in a drawing to win a trip to Las Vegas, and then she followed that by bringing us up on stage with some DJ's from The WOLF. The winner from this show was Lynn Fredlund. We played a 90-minute set and just had a blast. Unfortunately after the show, we didn't have a ton of time because we had 800 miles ahead of us to get to our next location, so we ended up loading up the bus and then pretty much immediately heading out for Detroit, MI. Our bus driver Dave amazed us all by driving through the night and getting us here safely with absolutely no complaining about it what so ever. We've got a show here in Detroit tonight at "Coyote Joes" and again this is another show based around Soles 4 Souls. Hope to see some of you here tonight at the show. 2/8/09: Helping Out Soles4Souls In The Nice Weather

Hey everyone,

We arrived home early this morning. I did some laundry and packed for Detroit. Mark, Shelley, and myself leave for there tomorrow.

I had two great shows this weekend… One was at the Blind Horse Saloon in Greensville, SC. and the other one was at Coyote Joes in Charlotte, NC. The band and I just added 7 new songs to our set. Some are new songs that I’ve written and others are songs from legendary acts like Merle Haggard. I hope that y’all can make it out to a show soon and check it out.

Around 2 p.m., we all met up at our office on Music Row to sort and organize boxes upon boxes of shoes that will be given to people across the country as part of our involvement with Soles 4 Souls. It's really a great cause! It is so nice to see so many people on board wanting to make a difference and put a smile on people’s faces or change a life with a simple heartfelt gift through a pair of shoes.

Tomorrow, before we leave at 3 p.m. I get to write with my co-writing buddy Anthony Smith. Wish us luck!

Are you all loving this weather? Nashville got to be in the 70’s today, which is night and day from what it was last week. Not sure what the weather is like where you are, but hopefully it’s getting nicer. Anyhow, I’m going to call it a night now. 2/5/09: On The Way To Greenville!

Hey everyone, hope you're all doing well. Man, it has been bone-chilling cold the past 4 days here in Nashville. It's gotten down to around 15 degrees every night, OUCH… You'd think me being from the north I'd be used to the cold, but no- my blood must've thinned out.

As you can see, I am spreading my journals out a bit more these days. That way, I have more to write about and hopefully make things a little more interesting.

This week I haven't had a ton of stuff going on. Unfortunately, we've all been sick. My band, manager, and myself have all been battling whatever it is that's floating around in the air. Fortunately, most of us have conquered it and are feeling much better.

I've had a fairly productive week so far. The band and I have been cutting tracks and let me tell you, I am pumped! I can't wait for everyone to hear it. The sound of the new stuff that I'm writing is really exciting. When you write songs, you try to imagine what they are going to evolve into and what they will sound like within the walls of a studio. To hear your song be brought to life by all the talented musicians playing their hearts out in the recording booths is very special. Pretty much any song that I write or co-write becomes a child to me. Of course I've written some not so good ones along the way, but that's expected. For the most part, I couldn't be more proud.

I'm not sure if y'all are up on cell phones or not, but I just got the new G1 phone and I am LOVING IT. I haven't quite figured out this feature, but evidently the G1 has a feature that you can set up that will tell you how far your phone falls. Why you would deliberately want to drop your phone is beyond me, but it will actually tell you how far it fell. It also has this bar code feature where you can scan bar codes on products and compare prices that way. Is that not cool or what? I'm just naming a few features. Anyhow, I hope the weather looks up for us all and gets a little warmer. It's this type of weather that really makes you appreciate hot chocolate. The band and I head out on the bus at midnight tonight for Greenville, SC. We've got a show there tomorrow evening.

2/1/09: Enjoy The Superbowl!!!

Y'all enjoy last night's Super Bowl? I felt the anticipation and excitement in the air all day yesterday. I have friends and fans in both Phoenix and Pittsburgh, so I wasn't cheering for any particular team. I just say, "may the best team win." I was talking to a guy at the airport in Milwaukee yesterday who said he was going to the Super Bowl. I bet that would be pretty awesome to be in the audience with the crowd cheering and getting into the game. I don't know about all of you, but personally one of my favorite parts of the Super Bowl is the half-time show and the funny commercials. I'm sure there was some craziness in the City of Nashville tonight as well as every other city in the country, so I hope y'all had a great time and chowed down on some great food and enjoyed the game! 1/28/09: Staying Busy In Nashville

Hello everyone, I'm hoping and praying that y'all had a safe productive week and that everything is going well. For the most part, I've been home in Nashville and had a few writing appointments booked and some phone interviews to do. The band and I are working up some new songs for our show, so between yesterday and today we've had several hours of rehearsals. We are fully aware and respect the fact that when you come out to our shows you want to hear stuff that you're more familiar with, so thats what inspired our decision to learn more cover songs. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to meet and be interviewed by Jeff Cook, formerly of the group Alabama. He was a cool guy and after we got done talking he asked if I'd like to hear some of the new songs he had been working on for his new album. It sounded great! In some of the songs, I actually heard a touch of the Alabama sound in the recording. Tomorrow morning, Mark, Shelley and I are catching a flight to Milwaukee. We will be there all day tomorrow and return home Saturday. Yes, this is a short trip, but we hope it will be very productive. Have a great night everyone and Ill talk to you soon. God Bless!

BREAKING NEWS: "Crazy Days" Selected for iTunes Free "Single of the Week"

1/26/09: Week Wrap-Up

Hey everyone,

Just to recap on the week so far... it has been a busy one, as I'm sure it has been for all of you as well.

We left on the morning of the 21st for Evansville, Indiana. We had a show that evening opening up for Jamey Johnson at the Woody's bar. The show was sold out with wall-to-wall people. As we've come to expect at this point in the journey, there is not going to be a lot of people that are familiar with my music unless they have heard me on the radio, so the 45 to 75 minutes were given each and every night is an opportunity for us to hopefully win over some more fans.

So far, I'd have to say its been going very well and the people at our shows have had nothing but good comments for the band and myself. I know there is probably a lot of you that haven't had the chance to see one of our shows yet, but hopefully our tour dates will bring us your way. The next place that our bus took us was to Lexington, KY where we played a show at Cadillac Ranch. We had an awesome show there. You know Lexington was the first stop I made months and months ago on my radio tour. Its gone by so fast and Its hard to imagine all that I've been able to accomplish since then. It was good to see my friend Mark Grantin from the radio station. When I passed through there that first day of the radio tour and played in the board room, Mark had become an instant supporter towards my music and shortly there after added my first single "Crazy Days." Since then, he has been on board and very supportive... so thank you Mark!

Getting back to the day of the show... That evening, Mark, myself, and some of my team went to dinner at one of these restaurants where they cook the food in front of you. I'm never disappointed with the food, it's always great. Anyways while we were there we shared the table with a lady and her two daughters, one of which was celebrating her tenth birthday. Somehow, we started talking about cell phones and Emily the birthday girl said, I'm going to be getting a cell phone soon, and in an innocent manner she added that her phone is going to be a nicer phone than both her mom and dad's phone combined. Jeff Davis, my record label rep and one of the nicest dudes you'll ever meet, pulled out his iPhone and started showing it off to all three of them. You could see that they were very intrigued by the phone.

After paying the bill, we asked Mary Beth (the girl's mom) if they'd be interested in having a tour of our bus. They were shocked that we had even asked. They said sure and little Emily said this is the best birthday gift ever. This family is big country music fans and had heard my songs on the radio, so this was extra special for both them. They followed us back to the venue where the bus was parked out back and we gave them the grand tour of the inside of the bus. All three of them were like, WOW, this is incredible! We sat and chatted for a while and then I pulled out my guitar and played them a couple songs. First I played "What It Takes" which Emily was familiar with and then I followed it up with "Crazy Days" and she sang along to both. I loved our visit with them and hopefully I will get to see them all at future shows.

Our next stop took us to Grand Rapids, Michigan. I'm sure most of you don’t want to even hear the word snow or how cold it was, I thought I would mention it anyways. There was snow there and it was a little on the nippy side. I'd say my blood has kind of thickened since I had just been home at Christmas because the cold didn't really bother me at all. This was our second show with Jamey Johnson. A band called Union Guns was the first act up… then myself and then Jamey closed the evening. There were probably from what I saw and from what I was told 900 people in the club. They were a rowdy crowd that came to have a good time. I met up with the radio DJs there and we chatted for a few minutes before my meet and greet. We played a 45-minute set and the audience was really into what we were doing. Our cover tunes of Justin Timberlake and Coldplay always seem to cause a stir of interest and in most cases are the topics of conversation from the people that come up to meet me afterwards.

After the show, and after we got done loading up all the gear we hit the road running for Nashville. There were a few of us including myself that stayed up till 4 in the morning on the bus ride back just blaring music through the speakers. When I get in that music-playing mode, I play everything from Toto to Journey and some Boston. I also played some of the new songs that I've been working on for the band. Music for me just soothes the soul. Isn't it amazing how it does that. We arrived back into Nashville this morning at around 10 a.m. and I've had the rest of the day to myself to get some things done including typing this journal up for y'all. 1/22/09: Nashville Lifestyles Show and Band Back On The Road!

Hey everyone, I hope you've all had a great past few days. I have had a bit of downtime recently, except for last night. I did a show at the Tin Roof in Nashville. There were several other artists performing including Luke Bryan, Ashton Shepherd, Trent Tomlinson, and a new brother act out of South Carolina called the Carter Twins. The show was a charity event put on by Nashville Lifestyle magazine. My 2 guitar players Mark and Robin accompanied me. We had a great time playing to a sold out show.

My band arrived back in Nashville on the 19th after being back home in Canada since Dec. 21. We're all rested up and anxious to get back out on the road and see all our friends and fans, as well as make some new ones. We all had the same opinion in thinking that the time just flew by. I have been told throughout my life by people that the older you get that the faster time seems to go by, and they weren't kidding. I can't seem to hold on to time long enough and I'm sure you all feel the same way.

I bet all of you tuned into the inauguration yesterday. It looked pretty cool, huh? I zoned into the crowd and seeing that many people crowded into one area is a pretty amazing site. I heard there were 2 million people in attendance. I can't even imagine what that would look like from a stage. Hey, it is nice to dream right? Maybe someday I'll break the record and play in front of that many people. That would be cool. The band and I head out bright and early tomorrow morning on the bus for Evansville, Indiana where we have a sold-out show tomorrow night with Jamey Johnson. By the way, Jamey's single "In Color" is nominated for about 3 Grammy's... We wish him the best with that. 1/18/09: St. Jude Trip

Hey everyone,
What an amazing past couple days it has been. I just got back from Memphis earlier today where I was visiting the St. Jude Hospital. You would think that the atmosphere at St. Jude would be hard to take, but it was the total opposite... In fact, it was a complete place of HOPE. The amazing thing about St. Jude is that they are moving closer and closer everyday towards cures for cancer. There are scientist who work specifically on cell research to scope out not only the cancer attacks, but their equipment allows them to get an eyes view inside the cells to see exactly what it is that's going on.

St. Jude is run strictly on donations and there is no cost to the the patients or their families, it's all covered by the donations. As a matter of fact, it cost 1.4 million dollars a day to run the hospital... so calculate that over a years time. You can just imagine the tons of donations being made. There are so many good people in the world who are willing to help out which is totally awesome!! A huge part of these donations of course goes towards cancer research and finding cures. Some cancer's have higher recovery rates, but unfortunately from what we learned there are other cancers that can only be treated for a certain period of time, but the cure for stopping them completely hasn't been pin pointed yet. I have no doubt that those hard working researchers of the St. Jude Hospital will find the connections and cures their looking for. Another interesting thing I found out is that the hospital is in the loop of new discoveries made everyday by the researchers. As a matter of fact, a newsletter goes around the hospital every 17 hours.

There were quite a few touching moments during the visit and just to name a few... there was a wall in which had a row of poems lettered from A to Z that were written by the patients receiving treatments for their cancer. These poems and letters were beautiful. It really put into perspective how amazing these kids really are. I already knew that they were amazing little angels, but after reading what they had to say, and a lot of it was to do with HEAVEN and GOD, oh man what can I say it filled my heart with LOVE. We were all given tour guides to take us around the hospital and our guide especially did an amazing job and helped make our visit very memorable.

We stopped at one point and she began telling us a story of a little boy she had met and got to know quite well in the hospital. This little boy was like any other normal kid and was into basketball. He was playing basketball one day when he complained of a pain in his hip and had told his parents about it. They took him in to get checked, and they found out that the pain in his hip was a rare kind of cancer. This type of cancer had a 20% survival rate. Our guide told us that St. Jude took him under their wing and were able to get rid of the tumor, but this was the type of cancer that you could only get rid of for a short period of time and that it would eventually reappear somewhere else in the body. That's exactly what it did on this little guy. She said he was a real fighter though and fought it for 4 years until he passed away. To finish this story off though and the part that probably got me the most, was when she told us how before he died he wanted a CD made up for his mom of all there favorite seasonal songs so that she could play them back and think of him. I tell you I pretty much lost it at that point and my eyes filled up with tears. Here's a boy that's just been told his battle has come to an end and all he was worried about was taking care of his mom. When he passed away, he had no signs of cancer left in his body which was an absolute miracle, but what took him was the fact that his internal organs had been worked so hard from fighting off the cancer that they just decided to shut down all together. That little guy was and is a true example to all of us and I will never forget being told that story.

From there we went to a room where all the artists gathered together. We signed autographs to some of the patients and there families. Even there I was amazed by another incident. This young guy and his mom came up and got my autograph and we started talking. He had mentioned to me that he's conquered cancer and recovered from it and that St, Jude continually checks up on him. His mom was standing there and out of relief said that she's so thankful to St. Jude for everything they've done for her son and she started to cry as she completed her sentence. Her son who had the cancer put his arms around her to comfort her and tell her, mom everything is gonna be alright. I'm like WOW what a strong little guy. Well, I'm happy that I could share some of my memories with you of St. Jude and I hope that if you aren't already that you'll all become St. Jude supporters in the future. 1/14/09: At A Writers Retreat

Hey everyone!

I just had the most relaxing, peaceful time at my buddy Joe Leathers get away flat in Rosemary Beach, Florida. It is not known by a lot of people, but it is a little piece of paradise that’s for sure. We started writing on the 11th. Almost immediately... between the minds of Lee Brice, Kyle Jacobs, Joe Leathers and myself, we knocked out a few songs the first day. And that’s not to mention the song that all of us wrote on the bus drive down. The second day we were there, we all got up at around 9 a.m. There was a gym up the street, so most of us hit that up for a little workout and then headed back home to write. When we got back, Lee had already been working up a guitar arrangement for another song. We started into that and before we knew it, another song was written, pretty cool huh ?

It totally amazes me to watch songs come together from a thought to a song.. it’s really a beautiful thing and I feel blessed to be able to do it! I really wanted to see more of the little town of Rosemary and the beach, so when we got done writing the song we all hopped on some bikes and rode through the town and went to the beach. The town was pretty bare because it was out of season. From what I’ve heard about France and from what Kyle told me, it’s like a little piece of France with the cobblestone roads and the European architechure of the buildings. I was told they have a rule there that every building or home must be constructed by one of five builders so that they keep a level of sameness within the town. I guess they don’t want some unknown builder to come into the town and change things up, which is understandable.

When we went down to the beach, not only were we pretty much the only ones on the beach, but the sand was so white and the water so clean and clear. It is probably one of the nicest beaches for sure, that I’ve seen!! Between the time we got back to later that evening, we had written a few more songs. We certainly were on a roll. I guess being in such a nice place is inspiring in itself.

It was cool because there was a main house where Lee, Kyle and Joe slept and above the garage was kind of a guest pad and that’s where I stayed. It had it’s own kitchen and living room, a nice big TV and a big comfortable bed. There was also a nice sized swimming pool in the backyard which was heated, so it was pretty close to being like a hot tub. We left on the bus out of Rosemary the morning of the 14th at 4 a.m. and drove through the night. We arrived back to Nashville early that evening on the 14th. So I had the evening to chill and wrap my head around all that we had accomplished in such a short time. It was very impressive to me. While Adam was writing hit songs..... we went fishing.

So last week, Adam and I went to Rosemary Beach to Joe Leathers house for a writing retreat.

We are already working on songs for our second album. Adam has been blessed to be amongst some great friends and writers over the past two years.

While Adam was busy working, my dad, Drew Alexander, David Whitted (our new bus driver) and myself all went fishing and had a blast. Here is a pic of the one's we kept. Don't tell Adam though because he thinks we were in a meeting....

Hey Everyone,

My first Soles 4 Souls event was an amazing success!! It took place in Nashville and we made three stops, where at all three stops we gave out a pile of shoes to people that needed them and appreciated them very much. For me, it really puts things into perspective. Sometimes we take things for granted when there are so many people out there who would just give anything for a pair of shoes. When I was handing out shoes you could’ve sworn that I was handing them a million dollars. To see there faces light up with huge smiles the way they did makes everything that Soles 4 Souls is doing worth it!! I serenaded the folks at all three stops and they all appreciated the entertainment. It was just a little extra something I thought I could offer to them. Memorable moments to me especially was when we went to the school to hand out shoes to the young kids. This wasn’t just any school, no, this was a school that catered to children from all around the world who don’t necessarily speak a lick of English, but are learning the basics to speaking English and furthering themselves in the United States. These students were very bright and they surprised us all by entertaining us with songs they had practiced up for us! And they all did a great job! Another moment I’d say that sticks out in my mind would be when we made the stop at the Womens safe house. These women are in there for a number of reasons but all for the common goal of becoming independent again. You know, abuse just doesn’t fly with me and I am so greatful that I was raised by parents who taught me the true values of life and how to treat people with respect, especially to have respect for a lady. Well I have a number of Soles 4 Souls events coming up and I can’t wait to make more memories along this journey. I will update you all as I do them and fill you in with all that happens. God Bless!

1/6/09: Great Seeing My Family Over The Holidays

Hello everyone,

Hope you are all doing well. I had a great visit at home with my family and I wouldn't have traded it for the world. It wasn't so much that we did a lot of things, it was just the hang out time that made it so enjoyable and lets face it, there is nothing like mom's home cooked meals... mmm... I love you mom! We managed to make time to go to the famous West Edmonton Mall a few times while I was home.. They say its the biggest mall in the world, but for me having grown up 10 minutes from the mall itself, I'm used to seeing it, but its still pretty neat to see, thats for sure!

I flew back home this morning through Baltimore. I spent the evening and part of today there . I left at around 5:35 p.m. Baltimore time and arrived just over an hour ago here in Nashville. The rest of the evening is off for me now and tomorrow morning. Shelley will be picking my manager Lawrence and I up in front of the loft and we have three events planned out to do for Soles4Souls. This is a charitable organization which provides shoes to people in need of them. Such a great cause to be part of and I am so looking forward to donating my time to helping out! Soles4Souls Partners With Adam

(Nashville, TN - Jan. 5, 2009) Nashville-based charity Soles4Souls has partnered with Big Machine/NSA/Midas recording artist Adam Gregory to raise money and provide shoes for needy individuals around the world during Gregory's "What It Takes 2009" club tour.

"We are very excited about this campaign between Soles4Souls and rising music star Adam Gregory," said Wayne Elsey, Founder and CEO of Soles4Souls. "Even though he's only 23 years old, he is an amazing talent and also demonstrates his deep commitment to charitable causes and giving back to his fans. We are extremely proud to count him as a friend."

The ten-week tour includes dates in 25 different cities, beginning Jan. 19 and running through March 31, 2009. Gregory will partner with a radio station in each market to provide a unique concert event and singles mixer that targets local listeners.

Upon entry to the event, fans will be provided an opportunity to donate a new or gently worn pair of shoes or make a donation to the Soles4Souls organization. Individuals will then receive a numbered flip-flop and attempt to locate their "sole" mate with the other matching shoe. The evening concludes with a grand prize giveaway and full band performance by Gregory. Proceeds from each night's event will be donated to Soles4Souls.

"I'm really looking forward to these shows because I feel like we can make a difference in people's lives," said Gregory. It's not just me performing for an audience, it's all of us working together for a bigger cause. I can't wait to get started."

Gregory will kick off the partnership on Jan. 8 by delivering shoes to local Nashville shelters as part of the "Takin' It To The Streets" shoe drive. He will perform at the "Livin' The Music" benefit concert for Soles4Souls at 3rd and Lindsley later that night.
Soles4Souls has launched a campaign website (www.whatittakes2009.com) where fans and radio stations can track donations and find exclusive blogs and video features from Gregory during the tour.

A complete list of dates and markets for the "What It Takes 2009" tour are currently being finalized, but Phoenix, Kansas City and Milwaukee are already confirmed.
The Soles4Souls agreement follows Gregory's promotional tour in 2008, in which the rising star partnered with leading mobile carrier Cricket Communications, Inc.

Hey everyone,
I hope you've all been doing well. I'm sure for some of you it's been a matter of trying to stay warm. The past 6 days have been relaxing for me. I've spent time with friends in Nashville and it's been great just to chill out. I've kept to my original plan. I went home to Canada during Christmas for 5 days and then I flew back to Nashville to see my friends and spend some time with them. Tomorrow I will be flying back home for another 4 days and I'm excited about that. My family is looking forward to me coming home again. I spent last night watching the New Year's festivities at Times Square on TV. I didn't really go out on the town. I was just in Times Square a couple of weeks ago, so seeing it on television brought back some good memories of when I was there. It was 2009 here before it was for my parents back home, so they called and wished me a Happy New Year an hour earlier or so and then I ended up calling them when it switched over on there side. Although I wasn't home, I felt like I was with them. My family and I are close and I make it a point in every day to give them a call just to say hi and fill them in with what I've done that day. I know they appreciate it and it gives me a sense of home just by hearing their voices over the phone. Anyways, Happy New Year to you all and I can't wait to see you out at future shows! God Bless!

12/22/08: Have A Merry Christmas!

Hey everyone,
I slept in a little cause we had our Christmas party last night and we were pretty tired. What a great turnout! We had probably 45 people here. It was so good to see everyone again. I sang some songs and ate a little food. Because it was a weekday, the party didn’t go on all night because people had to work this morning. After waking up and having breakfast, my family and I headed downtown to my mom’s work. We went to visit because there were some people there that wanted to meet me. Then tonight we went out to a family friend’s house and had a great dinner and visited for a while. My family and I are trying to squeeze in as much as we can in the little time that I have here. I hope that all of you are having good times with your families as well and I will pray that y’all have a great Christmas! God Bless!

The more that I think about it, I may not have made it home yet had it not been for the prayers and the help from Susan, the travel agent. 12/21/08: Going Back To Canada

We were dropped off super early this morning at the Kansas airport to catch our flights home today. Everything was going pretty smooth until the Northwest lady said that our flight had been canceled due to a bird getting sucked up into the engine of the plane. Here I am thinking oh great, so much for my Christmas party… I'll never make it at this rate. I went up to Susan the Northwest agent and said there has to be another flight out or something and she immediately got on the phone and on the computer and we didn't know exactly what it was she was doing so we just waited. She got off the phone and said I have good news for you three, cause it was Graham, Robin and myself and she said, "well, it's your lucky day guys and she continued on by saying that we are the only three that she can do this for," so she booked us on totally different flights home getting us in earlier. Funny thing is, they were the same flights that the other band members had booked so we all ended up flying home together. We all got ourselves through customs and got our luggage and were greeted by our families on the other side. I love that feeling of anticipation, especially after not having seen them for months and months. Well, I'm at my parent's house now and we are just getting ready for our Christmas party, which will start after 7 tonight. I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone! 12/19/08: Harrah's Casino Staff & Their Buffet!

Woke up this morning in New York and headed to the JFK airport to fly to St. Louis. We arrived in St. Louis and had a little downtime. We then headed to a Cricket store for an appearance. It was a great turnout and so was our show tonight. Might I mention that we played at the Harrahs Casino, a fairly large Casino with an amazing buffet. I would like to thank the Casino and the event staff for taking care of the band and I's meals. It was really, really good. The stage tonight was pretty cool as well. It was 15 feet in the air and we had to play on a stage above the bar. I played a 75-minute show, signed some autographs, and then went up to the room to get some sleep. We all really had a great time there, thanks to the Casino and the Harrahs club for having us.

12/18/08: New York City Is Awesome!

Today is another sight seeing day here in New York. I have the whole day off, so I plan to go see Ground Zero and Central Park and whatever else I can find to do. Last night, when I walked to Time Square… it almost felt like day-time because of all the lights and television screens and everything, it was absolutely incredible. The sights are amazing! It was something else being able to see ground zero, a real chilling kind of feeling. I tried to imagine what it looked like with those buildings there and it was so sad to think of all the innocent lives that were lost that day. My heart goes out to all of them and their families.
First thing today, I went to Central Park and walked around for a little while and it was amazing. You know before going to certain places I have high hopes of what it'll be like and certainly wasn't disappointed with what I saw in New York. We all went to dinner at a sushi restaurant. Now I am at the hotel and I'm gonna call it a night because it's an early morning tomorrow. God Bless!

12/17/08: First Time In New York

Today was a great day here in New York. I was so excited because it was my first time in the amazing city! The radio station out of Providence, Rhode Island, Cat Country did a contest where they brought fifty listeners on a bus for the day to New York. They held an event at the Brother Jimmy BBQ where Mark and I did a 30-minute acoustic performance for 50 people. Everyone was catered food by the restaurant. I never ate before I sang, but they were nice to leave all that incredible food out for us for after the show. It really was a great time. The audience was into it and we had a blast as well. After visiting with everyone and signing autographs, the group was set loose to shop or do whatever in New York for three hours before their bus call, so that was a pretty good deal for the fans. I would like to throw out a huge thank you to Jessica and her whole staff from Cat Country for putting this event together and just for the incredible time!! I just had the rest of the evening after that to sight see in New York, walking everywhere I could and taking lots of pictures. I walked to Times Square and F.A.O Schwartz the big toy store here in the city. It was incredible, wall to wall of toys… pretty much anything and everything you could ever imagine. I managed to find a few things for my niece and nephew there for Christmas. It is a cool thought knowing that it came from that store. I came back to the hotel after walking around for a while and got myself ready for a late night talk show interview with Joey Reynolds. It was a great interview… very laid back and everyone there made us feel super welcomed. Thank you to Joey for having me and I sure hope I get to see you again soon. God Bless!

12/17/08: Christmas For Kids Event

Yesterday I was in Nashville to write with Keith Follese and Kyle Jacobs, it was a great success. After writing with them, Kyle and I went to a studio to record a demo of a song that him and I and Billy Montana wrote last month. It turned out great! I can't wait to hear the finished product. Because of the traffic I, barely had enough time to get home and change for the Christmas For Kids event. What a wonderful event it is. Artists' tour buses are parked in a Walmart parking lot for fans to walk through and visit. Some artists come out and sign autographs on the buses. Fans come out and pay to go around to all buses for autographs and pictures. The money generated is used to buy Christmas gifts for needy children in the area. From there, I headed back home and hit up a late move. I went and saw Four Christmases and I enjoyed it. It was pretty funny. After the movie, I was pretty tired so I called it a night.

I met up with the band in Pittsburgh today. We had an appearance at a Cricket store there. It was a fantastic turnout. The support from Froggy radio has been absolutely incredible and I thank them so much. Afterwards, we headed over to the Rhythm House Café for the show tonight. It was a packed house. The band and I did a 75-minute show for them and it looked like they were really getting into it. After the show, I headed back to the hotel. Shelly was nice enough to bring me back food for a late night dinner. God Bless,

12/13/08: Back In Nashville After Eating A Heaping Mound Of Cheese At The Skyline Chili!

This morning I was in Florence - Cincinnati, Ohio. I made a Cricket visit around 11 a.m.. Another great turnout. I'm really starting to see the attention that the songs are getting by the amount of people that are coming out to the stores, its amazing. I'm just so grateful to all the Cricket stores that I've visited along the way and for all their tremendous support in helping me towards my career. Also, to all the radio stations that have been promoting and playing my music, I am so grateful for all their support. I'm certainly an artist that appreciates everyones support.

Seeing we didn't have a show in Cincinnati tonight, we had people sign their names on pieces of paper and whoever won the draw got to go to lunch with me. Coincidentally, two of my most dedicated fans won the lunch. Melanie, Wyvetta and their friend joined us. We ate across from the Cricket store at the famous Skyline Chili. The food was awesome. I have never seen so much cheese on one plate before. It seriously was a heaping mound of cheese on top of a plate full of spaghetti. Compliments to the chefs for the great meal.

After that, we went back to the bus and Shelley and I got our suitcases and headed back to Nashville in the rental car. It was a smooth 4 hour drive. Now I'm back in Nashville. It feels good to be back home for a few days. I will be writing with my producer Keith Follese and Kyle Jacobs Monday morning and then Shelley and I head back out to meet up with the bus and band in Pittsburgh. 12/12/08: Great Meeting Jeremy and His Wife In Dayton Ohio

I had a semi easy day today.. First I got to sleep in on the bus and then I got up to make a Cricket appearance in Dayton, Ohio. It was an amazing turnout. A lot of people showed up and they weren't just there to pay their bills... they were actually there to see me, lol!! Because we weren't playing a show tonight, we did something different and did a drawing for the winner to join me for dinner tonight. A guy named Jeremy and his wife and son won the drawing. They joined me for dinner at Lonestar Steakhouse. We had a great visit and exchanged lots of great stories. I look forward to seeing them again. Now we are back on the bus heading to Cincinnati, so maybe I will see some of you tomorrow at my Cricket visit then. God Bless!

12/11/08: Driving In The New York Snow!

Got up this morning and drove to Buffalo NY. I must say that I love the snow. Seeing it is getting the band and I ready to go home for Christmas. We get a lot of snow up in Alberta, Canada where were originally from.

Well, if you haven't read in some of my earlier journals... Mark, Shelley and myself love our fix of Sushi. We searched and searched for a good Sushi place today, but unfortunately nothing was around or open, darn! We finally got something else to eat and then headed to the venue. The band did sound check ,while I did some emails on the bus. Show time came around and we played a full 75-minute show at the Buckin Buffalo Saloon. They were amazing and made us feel so welcome! We definitely can't wait to come back sometime soon! God Bless!

12/10/08: BEE Christmas Party and Gavin Rossdale

This morning I woke up in Rochester and did an in-store visit with Cricket. The visit went very well! Afterwards, I had a couple of hours to kill so we were all able to get a little rest in. At 5 p.m. we left the hotel and headed to the BEE radio station for an on-air interview. Mark and I went on air with Billy and had a great interview. After that, we hung out with the staff and some clients. It was the BEE's Christmas party, so we hung out, mingled, and played a 30-minute acoustic set. Gavin Rossdale from the band Bush even showed up and mingled a while. Some of you might also know him as being married to Gwen Stefani. We stayed there for a little while and then went back to the hotel. We were all able to get a good night sleep in. Have a great evening everyone! God Bless.

12/9/08: Off To The Doctors, Then Off To New York

Hey everybody,

Monday was an off day for me... I was able to do some laundry, pack, and get a little house cleaning done. It is surprising when your not home how much dust collects, lol. Monday evening I just hung around and chilled.

Tuesday morning, Lawrence and I went over to the doctors to get a CT scan on my sinuses. I am feeling great as of right now, but it never hurts to get regular checkups and make sure everythings looking good with the vocal chords and sinus area. After that, we stopped and had a bite to eat at Arbys and then went back to the loft.

Shelley came and picked us up in front of the loft around 1 p.m.. We made our way to catch a flight to the JFK airport and then onto Rochester, NY. We made it safe and sound in Rochester about an hour ago. I just had a shower and we have the rest of the evening off. I hope you've all had a good day and I will talk to you soon. God Bless!

12/6/2008: Corndogs And Southwest Crew

Woke up early this morning and drove to Santa Maria for an acoustic show with Sunny Country! It was held in the Hyundai parking lot. We played to a nice little crowd. We did a 45 minute acoustic set and everyone there seemed to really enjoy it and so did we!

At the show, Sunny Country drew a winner to come to dinner with us that night. The lucky winner and her daughter came from the front row. After the set, we had a little bit of down time, so we used that time and took a drive to Pismo Beach. We walked around enjoying the scenery from the pier. Shelley and I got a little hungry, so we both got hold me over corn dogs. I also got a hot Chocolate while she got a coke. I pretty much inhaled my corn dog to the point of almost choking, so I had to steal the coke out of her hand and wash down the corndog that was stuck in my throat... not fun!

From there, we drove back to the hotel to pick up Puff daddy, who you may know as Mark of the band. We made our way to the radio station to meet JT. We followed JT from the station to a famous restaurant called the Hitching Post! Many celebrities have dined there, one of my favorites being John Candy. It was an amazing dinner! We had a great time visiting with JT and Nikki and the two winners Heidi and Shianne. I would definitely like to go back to that place... They have the best artichokes in the world!! We visited for a good little while and then hit the road running to LA where we stayed the night.

The next morning, we got up and caught a flight home to Nashville!! I also wanna mention that on this flight I became a part-time flight attendant. It was a coincindence that the flight attendants names were Adam and Rob, so Robin and I were asked to hand out peanuts and crackers. In return, I got plastic Southwest wings, a coloring book and drink coupons, which I will more than likely give away as Christmas stocking stuffers to some of my band members! 12/5/08: Dedicated Fan Flew Down From Canada!

Friday morning I went by the The Bull in Reno and did an on air radio interview. Mark and I played "Blue Christmas" and it went over very well. After that, we hit the road to San Jose and headed to KRTY. I played in the board room to a bunch of the staff there. Nate and Tina were just a few in the audience and they are very supportive towards my music! From there, we made our way over to the venue for sound check and a little bit of down time before the show. Club Rodeo was awesome and fed all of us dinner! The show was awesome... I remembered playing there before opening up for Josh Gracin, so it was nice to be back again!

I wanna mention that a very dedicated fan of the band, Christina, flew down from Canada to attend the show. This is her second time coming down to see us. She told us that she spent $500 on an airline ticket, so the least that we could do is make her feel welcome and get her into the show. It was real nice to see a familiar face from back home. To top it off, she bought us a $100 Starbucks gift card.. We love our Starbucks!! After the show, we all had to pack up what we needed because the bus was heading all the way to New York. The rest of us stayed the night in San Jose.

12/1/08 Riding The Bus To California.....

We are on day two now of our long travel to Riverside, California. We've covered a lot of land today in beautiful Arizona. It's one thing to travel in a vehicle, but when you can travel in a bus and look out and see the scenery all through the windows of the bus, it's pretty cool! Our bus driver said that we should be arriving at our destination (Riverside, California) around 8 p.m. tonight. Along the ride, we've been watching movies on the bus. We just got through watching (Step Brothers) with Will Ferrell -- funny, funny, funny, lol. I hope you've all had a great week and weekend and have a great week ahead. God Bless!

11/29/08: Great Shows In Texas

Hey everyone,
The show we had the other night in College Station went well, not a huge crowd but the people that were there seemed to enjoy the show. After my appearance, there was a group of people gathered in one area near the stage. I went and said my hellos to all of them and signed pictures.

Last night, the band and I were in Austin ,TX to play at Stubbs again. The last time we were there, we opened up for Gary Allan. The only difference was, this time we played inside the club instead of outside and we were less a few thousand people, lol. The band and I have a really good attitude towards everything when we do shows. We play with the same dedication… If there are 2,000 people or only 10 people, we are still gonna give it our all and put the same heart behind our show. We just love to play. We've definitely been doing a lot of shows lately and it's been an awesome run so far. After the show at Stubbs, we hung out and mingled in the club for a little bit.

A little bit later, Barry and I went back to the hotel while the bus went on to Denver. We stayed last night in Austin, TX and caught a flight out this afternoon to meet up with the bus in Denver. We just got word that they are still an hour out because they got caught up in some snow. Happy Thanksgiving to y'all, I hope you had good quality family time and were able to feast out as well. Barry and I made the best out of what we had to work with here in Denver. Seeing most of the restaurants were closed, we ended up finding a Burger King that was open. We started to think that we were gonna go hungry on Thanksgiving and then there it was shining like a diamond in the rough… Burger King! Barry was funny, he said at one point, "all we need now is to request a burger with a feather hanging out of it and pretend that we're having a big turkey dinner," haha.. Those fries tasted extra and I mean extra greasy tonight. ahah.

The band should hopefully be here soon. They've been on the bus all day traveling to get here, so I'm sure their gonna be tired. I hope y'all had a great evening and I'm gonna sign off now so goodnight to y'all. God Bless!

11/27/08: Playing In Colorado

Hey everyone,
Yesterday I woke up around 9 a.m. in Denver, Colorado. I met up with Barry and we headed to Ft. Collins to make an in-store Cricket appearance. We had a nice turnout at the store and some dedicated fans drove a little ways to come and see me, which was nice. Letty and her daughter Lindsey and their friend Melanie went above and beyond by bringing me a get-well basket. Yes, I've managed to get sick again and not just me, but a lot of the band are experiencing sicknesses right now as well. Shelley actually had to fly home because she got really sick and didn't want to get the rest of us sick, but we still managed to catch it. We've gone through a lot of cold weather changes and I really think it was just a matter of time before we got sick. Need not to worry, I'm taking lots of vitamins and drinking plenty of tea and water.
Last night we played at the Grizzly Rose, which is a world-renowned club a lot of artists have played at through the years. The show we played was with the Eli Young Band. They are out of Texas and they put on a good show! We left the club just after 2 a.m. and drove through the night to Riverside California. We've got our next few days listed as just travel days, so that's good. It will be nice to get a little rest. I will update y'all as I go, take care and have a great day. God Bless!

11/25/08: Raising Money For Food Bank and Traveling!

Had a great time in Columbia, SC today. Mark and I played a 35-minute acoustic set at Ozzies Country Island Pub, a show put on by the local country station
WWNU. This show was to raise money for the local food bank and over 3,000 dollars was raised!! I was happy to be a part of it and so where all the other artists that were there to show their support. From there we drove to Charlotte, NC where we hopped a plane to College Station, TX. We arrived safe and sound here in College Station earlier today and had the rest of the day off. It was sure a nice little luxury to be able to sleep in till 10 a.m. this morning, lol. I don't get those kind of mornings to often, haha.. We left the hotel at 11 this morning and headed over to do a Cricket in store visit. I think a few more fans were made there which is something I'm always shooting for. After the in store visit, we had lunch at Jason's Deli, great place to get a good quick meal. After that, we made our way to the radio station where I did an on air interview with a DJ whose name was Adam also. He did a video recording of Mark and I playing "Then She Cried" acoustically. The station puts these videos on their website and on YouTube, so it turns out to be great promotion. After the station visit, we headed back to the hotel. I don't have to leave the hotel until 9:45 p.m. I'm making good use of this time though by calling radio stations to thank them for playing my songs and for all the support, as well as writing my journals. Tonight our show will be held at Schotzi's and we'll be going onstage at 11 or shortly after. It's going to be an intimate type setting and we'll play a 45-minute set acoustically so it should be a lot of fun! I hope you all have a great evening and God Bless!

11/22/08: I Love Making People Happy

Today we did a show in Memphis, Tennessee. The home of the King Elvis Presley! Something very special that happened while in Memphis. My buddy Joe Leathers (whom I have written a bunch with) and his family came to the show. Before the show, Joe came to the bus and visited for a little while... I noticed he was carrying a guitar case in his hand. I figured he was coming to pick a new tune for me or something. But no, he bought the guitar for me! He said to me, "Adam I couldn't think of what I wanted to get for you to show my appreciation for our friendship, so I thought I would get you a guitar knowing how much you love to play!" I was very shocked and extremely thankful. I asked him to sign the back of it for me. I couldn't get it out of my hands for the rest of the evening. Joe is a great guy, a great friend, a great father to his kids and a great husband to his wife. He has got great faith, which makes me respect him even more.

The show had a tremendous turnout! The club was packed to the max making it very hard for myself and the band to get to and from the stage - haha, but we survived! We pulled out of Memphis and drove through the night. We arrived in Ft. Wayne, IN on Friday. In Ft. Wayne, I had a station visit at WQHK and an interview with Dave the DJ. It was a smooth sailing interview. I played "Down The Road" live on-air, while he spun both "Crazy Days" and my new single, "What It Takes." After the visit, Dave, Shelley and myself went to dinner at O'Charleys. The rest of the band ate at Logans Roadhouse. The Neon Armadillo club was so awesome to us. They took care of the band's meal at Logans and offered their help in any other way to us, which was so nice! After the three of us were done eating at O'Charleys, we made our way back to the bus where I had a little time to get freshened up before the show.

The band and I took to the stage around 9:30 p.m. to play a 75-minute set. I was pleasantly surprised to see that I had some good friends come to the show to surprise me and show their support. Once the show was done and everything, we packed up and said our thank yous and good byes. We were again on our way... this time to Waterford, MI. We didn't have a whole lot going on during the day in Waterford, but the band and I did have a show at Boomers Roadhouse. It was a big ol' dance club and restaurant. We all had a great time there! We played a 75-minute show. Before us, a group by the name of Samborn played and did a great job! The group consisted of an 11-year old boy on guitar and vocals and his 14-year old sister on piano and vocal, very impressive. It brought me back to the days when I was 11-years old, playing out at places and just enjoying myself so much. I wish them all the best in the future..

After the show, I drew a raffle ticket from a bucket. The raffle winner got a signed electric guitar from me. Well, sure enough.. The ticket I drew belonged to that 11-year old little boy Mitch Samborn. He came racing up to the stage and accepted his new guitar with a big smile on his face. I love seeing people happy... especially when it is over something they really love. After that, I signed some autographs and then made my way back to the bus. We pulled out of there shortly after and Mark, Shelley, Barry and myself were dropped off at the hotel. We are leaving out of Waterford tomorrow morning early for Columbia, SC where Mark and I are doing an acoustic show for WWNU (Ozzies Country Island).

11/18-11/20: Busy Week!

Hey everyone,

It is ag here to recap on the last three days... starting off the week Monday morning I had a writing appointment scheduled with my producer Keith Follese and his wife Adrienne. We were blessed with yet another great song! I sure do love when great songs come out of sessions. It is a very rewarding feeling to me. The three of us as well as my piano player David Aide went to lunch after that. From there, I had to go get the oil changed in my truck. This time, I decided to go the synthetic route so that I’ll get a few more thousand miles out of my oil change. It just made more sense doing that even though I haven’t been driving my truck that often seeing I’ve been out of town so much. I just chilled the rest of the evening. Tuesday morning Shelley, Mark and myself left super early for Milwaukee. As soon as we got to Milwaukee, we immediately had to rush to a Cricket in-store event. I have to say, it was an amazing visit!! FM 106 must have done an incredible job promoting it because there were a lot of people there. They really made us feel welcome. Mark and I were happy to play some songs, meet people, and sign autographs. After the in-store, we made a visit into FM 106. Mark and I played an acoustic set to 20 special radio listeners. Our original plan following the radio visit was to go to dinner with Kerry from the station, but unfortunately he wasn’t able to make it due to family plans. So us three and Jack Purcell from Big Machine hit up a Sushi restaurant for dinner and the food was awesome!! Wednesday morning rolled around fast. We were again on our way driving to Chicago. The trip was going so well until we hit the worst Chicago traffic ever. It probably wouldn’t have been so bad and stressful if we wouldn’t have had to catch a flight, but we did and we were cutting it very close. Shelly dropped Mark and I off at the airport not knowing if we would even make it, but on top of that Shelley had to take the rental vehicle back and catch the same flight as us. Luckily, all three of us made it just in the nick of time. When we landed in Louisville, we met up with the band and bus at the hotel and then made our way from there to the venue. Robin, who works for Cricket-- bless her heart, was so nice to pick us up for the Cricket in-store event. We kind of played this in-store visit by the seat of our pants because on the way there we were notified that it had not been promoted by radio. Fortunately though, people still go by my website info and were waiting there to meet me, which was awesome! Afterwards, I went to dinner at Lilly's with Coyote from WAMZ. The food was awesome and we had a great time. The show afterwards at Jim Porters had a good turnout. After that, we hit the road to Memphis later that night. Back On The Road

Hey everyone,

Hope you are all doing well! The last show we did was in Chicago at a club called Joe's Sports Bar. There were quite a few people there. The band and I played a 75-minute set. Afterwards, I signed a few autographs before getting back on the bus. Once everyone returned back to the bus, we headed towards Lexington. Big Dave drove the bus through the night. We arrived around 11 a.m. the next morning where I had a Cricket in-store visit to do. It was definitely one of our best visits. Quite a few people showed up and were excited to hear music and get autographs. After the visit, the bus headed back to Nashville. We arrived at the loft around 5:00 p.m. or so. It was cool because we had the whole night left to do whatever we wanted. I made a trip to Walmart and picked up a few things and then just chilled the rest of the night. Remember how I said I was helping my best friend move? Well, with Marks help, I was able to move the bed set in so that was nice to get that out of the way. For a late lunch or early dinner... whatever you wanna call it.. I ate at El Ray, which is a Mexican restaurant in downtown Nashville. That filled the hunger spot! Before I ate, I was so hungry that my stomach felt like it was eating itself, lol.

CMA Award Week Wrap Up!

Hey everyone,

It was CMA week in Nashville, so I have been very busy. I hit the ground running on Monday morning around 9 a.m. We had a lot of different interviews at various locations. We filmed a lot of videos for CMT Canada's website and got some really great footage. Later in the day, I had a fitting at Flavour to get me set up for the CMA Red Carpet and Awards show. I finished off Monday night by doing a full band performance at the Tin Roof, which is a pretty famous Nashville club. There was probably over 200 people at the show, mostly consisting of radio and label people, which was good. We all had a blast! Shortly after that, I headed back to my loft and called it a night.

Tuesday morning I had an insanely early morning. I started off at 6:15 a.m. and did the radio remotes at the Hilton. For all of you who are unsure of what radio remotes are, basically it is when all the radio station across the country set up in one room and broadcast live while the artists go from table to table doing interviews. I did about 70 interviews on Tuesday. As tiring as it may be or sound, I know it is a very important thing to do. I enjoyed getting the opportunity to catch up with all the radio folks I've met the past few months on the radio tour. My night ended with a get together at my manager's loft. There were about 100 people or so at his place. There was a jam session and I played few acoustic songs. I left the party at 12:15 a.m. and tried to get some sleep before starting another long day on Wednesday. By that time, I was pretty much a zombie, lol.

Wednesday started off early again for Shelley, Barry, Lawrence, a couple of my band members and myself. At 6:15 a.m. we left to do more radio remotes, which actually didn't last as long as Tuesday's, but we were able to get a lot done. I also did a bunch of interviews at the CMT building. I really got lucky.. On Wednesday, parts of downtown Nashville lost power. I got out of the remotes just before Nashville had the power outage. A couple of artists weren't so lucky and were stuck because the elevators didn't work. The funny thing is that when I did my interview with Entertainment Tonight Canada, we seemed to be the only ones on the street with power. Rest assured though, it wasn't me that knocked out the power.. I don't require that much lighting, just a lot of sound, haha. After that, I had to get ready for the CMA awards Red Carpet, so I headed back to my loft, had a shower and got into my wardrobe. Thanks again to Amy at Flavour for helping me get my wardrobe together. I was super happy with it! Lawrence, Christy and I walked the Red Carpet and I did a ton of interviews. When the Red Carpet stuff was done, we headed in and found our seats and got settled for the 3 hour show that was ahead of us. What a great show it was!! We were second row on the right so when The Eagles, Kellie Pickler, Keith Urban, and Taylor Swift performed, we were right there. I was really impressed with Carrie Underwood's performance. Not only did she sing great, but I think what got me the most was when the lady came out and spoke of the loss of her husband who was in the armed forces. I'm not ashamed to say that that brought a tear to my eye. Then Carrie started into her song, so "wow" is all I can say to that!

After the show, I went to Legends to attend a Carl Black Chevrolet after party. I played a song on my guitar, broke a string and then covered my back by singing a song acapella, lol. Following that, we headed back to the Sommet Center, where we attended my label, Big Machine's after party. There were a lot of people there. For about an hour or so, I mingled with everyone. The bus picked us up from the party at 12:30 a.m. so we could head to Grand Rapids, Michigan for my show the next day. Man was it good to get on the bus and get some sleep, hah. The band and I had our show tonight at The Intersection here in Grand Rapids. It was a great time and great turnout! I got to see Doug and Dave from B-93 again. They have been incredibly supportive towards my music. Now were all on the bus getting ready to go to Chicago for another show tomorrow night. I will talk to y'all soon. Hope you've been doing well. "Big Red" From K Country

Hey everyone!

The band and I are now in Ocala, Florida. We arrived here this morning and had a really great day. I didn't have anything to do until our show later this evening, so the band and I had some good ole' down time. The show took place downtown on the square where we performed in front of some very dedicated K-Country fans! After the show, I signed autographs for an hour or so and then headed across the street where we met up with "Big Red" from K-Country and had a late dinner. It was great getting to hang with Big Red, he is a great guy! We went back to the bus after that and stayed the night in Ocala. God Bless!

Accidentally Left One Of The Band Members In Ocala........

This morning we headed out of Ocala bright and early to head towards Deray Beach, Florida. We were about an hour and a half down the road when we realized that we were short one guy, lol. Yup, there was definitely no Puff. After worrying for quite some time, Shelley eventually called the hotel and located Puff daddy, well needless to say Mark was in quite a panic. Luckily Barry's sister and husband live in Ocala, so they drove Mark up for us just in time for sound check. We had to bug Mark a little and found time to make a pit stop at Walmart to get him just a few little "welcome home" gifts. We picked him up a Cars alarm clock, a postcard that we all signed and a book called, The Pokey Little Puppy, lol! He got a good laugh out of that, and so did we.

Prior to today's show, we made a visit to WIRK. I played 3 songs live on air. My interviewer Dina Bee was an awesome interviewer and Mitch, well he was quite a comedian. He is a great dude and has been very supportive. The show was awesome tonight. We had a great crowd and we can't wait to come back. God Bless!

Writing With Kyle Jacobs and Billy Montana

This morning I woke up and had a writing session at Curb with my buddy Kyle Jacobs and Billy Montana. Before that though, Kyle and I went for lunch at a Sushi restaurant. After that, the three of us started into a really cool song. Unfortunately, I had to check out early on the writing session because I had another commitment doing an interview with Country Music Across America. The interview lasted probably 15 minutes and went pretty smooth. After that, I headed back to my loft and had nothing to do until midnight. At midnight, we all met downstairs and loaded up the bus. We are now heading to Mobile, Alabama. I'm about ready to call it a night though so I will sign off... but, I hope y'all had a great evening and I will talk to you soon. God Bless!

Traveling!

Shelley and I left Tucson around 9:45 this morning. The rest of the band left on a later flight. We are all ending up in Nashville today and we will be home for a few days! As much as I love the traveling and meeting new people, I must say there is nothing like going home. And For Halloween I Was...A Country Singer

Hope you all had a great Halloween!! This evening the band and I played a show at the Maverick Club in Tucson, Arizona. It was a dance hall type setting and we played about a 75-minute set. It was kinda cool because everyone was dressed up in their Halloween costumes. They were also up dancing to most of our songs. The band and I threw around the idea of dressing up, but at the last minute we decided not to. At one point in the set, I mentioned to the crowd that we didn't dress up because we were scary enough.. So this year for Halloween, I went as a country singer, LOL. Anyhow, the show went off well. Afterwards, I signed some autographs and headed back to the hotel to try and get a few hours of sleep.

CFCW Edmonton!

This morning I woke up around 6:00 a.m and had an interview with my hometown country station CFCW in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I had a good time chatting with Sharon. Afterwards, she was complimentary towards me and said that the interview sounded awesome. That made me feel really good. Following the interview, I had another one scheduled for 10 a.m.. I was able to get a little more sleep in before I did that. The interview was with another station from back home and they were excited to have the opportunity to chat with me as I was with them. After that, I had time to relax before meeting the bus downstairs at 5 p.m. to go to the Grand Ole Opry house. Yes, we had the opportunity again last night for the 3rd time to play the Opry stage. What a thrill again that was! It never fails, I always get the excited nervous feeling before walking out on that stage. It's not a scared feeling by any means, it is a rush of adrenalin that I feed off of while on stage. The performance was a magical moment once again for Chad, Mark and myself and yet another experience we will never forget! The bus took us all home after that and I packed up my suitcase for my trip out west. I had a chance to call home and talk to my parents, and then went to bed shortly after that.

Pancake Pantry and North Carolina

I woke up around 9:15 this morning. We went to breakfast at the Pancake Pantry. For those of you who are not familiar with Pancake Pantry, it is a pretty famous eating place in Nashville. I love their pancakes and especially their hashbrowns. I had some time to kill after that, so I went back to the loft and laid down for a little while. I packed some clothes for our one day trip to Greensboro. At 4 p.m., Shelley was waiting out front to pick us up and we all went to the airport to catch a flight to Greensboro, North Carolina. Video Shoot

Hey everyone,
I just wanted to let you know the video shoot for "What It Takes" was a huge success! I can not wait for you all to see it! We used two different locations for the shoot; the first being a house and the second being an old dusty warehouse. For the house shots, we got everything from me coming home from the grocery store, to cooking breakfast for a girl, to having a pillow fight and feathers flying everywhere. Roman White was the director of the video and I must say I was very impressed with not only his directing skills, but his whole attitude and how he made the whole experience enjoyable for everyone.

For the second shot, we were in an old kind of warehouse place that was rustic and dirty, but it had the look that we were going for for the video. That's where we captured all the performance shots. There was super cool lighting and other special effects. The shoot wrapped up at around 7:30 p.m.. I got some Hooters' hot wings and then went back to the loft and chilled and shortly after that went to bed.

Shopping, Video Treatments and Food!

Yesterday I woke up thinking I had a writing session, but actually it's scheduled for tomorrow. Instead of writing, my manager Lawrence and I did a little shopping. I guess you could say that, haha. When him and I go shopping, we pretty much buy the store... especially when I have a video shoot coming up. We needed a lot of selections to choose from. Lawrence's dad came into town yesterday too. He met up with us at the store and he waited patiently while I tried on clothes, so thank you Wayne. I went back to the loft after that and grabbed a little Mexican food from across the street. I gulped it back fairly fast. Shelley came over to the loft shortly after to help me get all my video wardrobe stuff together and then at 3 p.m. we all headed over to Big Machine Records where Sandi Borchetta talked about video treatments with us and looked over all my wardrobe stuff. Everyone was super excited and eager to do the video. The rest of the night I had off to relax. God Bless!

Writing Again In Nashville.....

Today I woke up and headed over to Curb Records to write with Nicole Witt and Skip Black. We wrote an awesome song called, "The First Time." After writing, I came back to the loft and chilled. Later I went and got take out from PF Changs. I love that place and the food is awesome! I'm heading to bed now because I have a super early morning tomorrow and a BIG day ahead of me. We are shooting the video for "What It Takes." Wish me luck everyone! I'm super excited about shooting the video and watching the whole project come together. God Bless!

Back In Nashville....

Yesterday we started off the morning in Gainesville, Virginia and drove to Scranton, Pennsylvania. Once we arrived, Mark and I quickly got ready for our show with WGGY. It was a show to benefit Breast Cancer and it was held at a bowling alley. It was set up as a guitar pull and Jeremy McComb, James Otto and myself were the entertainment. Each of us did 4 songs to a very supportive crowd. I even wore a pink shirt that they handed out to everyone that said on the front " I fight like a girl" lol, but on the back it had Froggy 101 strikes out breast cancer.

After we were done there, we left to try and find a place to eat. We drove quite a ways and came across Perkins. The food definitely hit the spot. We were all starving by that time. Then we drove on to Allentown, Pa. We stayed the night and got a few hours sleep. We woke up this morning at 6:45 a.m. and headed to the Lehigh Valley airport.
