2/8/09: Helping Out Soles4Souls In The Nice Weather

Hey everyone,

We arrived home early this morning. I did some laundry and packed for Detroit. Mark, Shelley, and myself leave for there tomorrow.

I had two great shows this weekend… One was at the Blind Horse Saloon in Greensville, SC. and the other one was at Coyote Joes in Charlotte, NC. The band and I just added 7 new songs to our set. Some are new songs that I’ve written and others are songs from legendary acts like Merle Haggard. I hope that y’all can make it out to a show soon and check it out.

Around 2 p.m., we all met up at our office on Music Row to sort and organize boxes upon boxes of shoes that will be given to people across the country as part of our involvement with Soles 4 Souls. It's really a great cause! It is so nice to see so many people on board wanting to make a difference and put a smile on people’s faces or change a life with a simple heartfelt gift through a pair of shoes.

Tomorrow, before we leave at 3 p.m. I get to write with my co-writing buddy Anthony Smith. Wish us luck!

Are you all loving this weather? Nashville got to be in the 70’s today, which is night and day from what it was last week. Not sure what the weather is like where you are, but hopefully it’s getting nicer. Anyhow, I’m going to call it a night now. I’ve got some left over Mellow Mushroom pizza so I think I am going to heat that up for dinner…. it’s really some awesome pizza. Have a great night everyone and I’ll be in touch with y’all soon. God Bless!
