Flying To Fresno

Adam Gregory Journal - September 28th, 2008

Shelley, Lawrence, Barry, Mark and I flew to Fresno, California today. We just arrived about an hour ago and got all settled into our hotel. Tomorrow I have some radio station visits, not sure at this point if they are going be live or not, but we'll have to wait and see. I hope that you've all had a great day and evening and I will talk to y'all soon. Goodnight and God Bless!

Buffalo and Tulsa

September 25th and 26th, 2008
Yesterday the band and I flew from Buffalo, NY to Tulsa, OK on the earliest flight imaginable. We went straight to the venue, where we were getting ready to do two shows for KVOO. It was a pre and post concert show in the parking lot for the Rascal Flatts and Taylor Swift concert. After my pre show was done, Shelly and I walked over to the BOK center and were given backstage passes to watch the show. It was cool because we were able to chat with Taylor and her mom backstage. They were very nice, down to earth people. Taylor put on a very high energy show. We ended up staying a little while into the Rascal Flatts show and then headed back to the parking lot to get ready for the post show. There was not alot of people around before we went on, but once we started playing and got heard, more and more people started to crowd around. After the show, I signed some autographs and headed back to the bus. The bus took us to the hotel and I went up to my room and was lucky to get a few hours of sleep.

Today, I woke up really early and headed to the the Kansas City airport. I am here now and getting ready to board our flight back to Nashville. As soon as we get home, I'm gonna take a shower and get ready for a taping with CMT Canada. We're gonna sing 5 songs for the taping and probably do some brief interview-type stuff. After that, we will have the rest of the day off to get some much needed rest. I hope that ya'll are doing well and I will talk to you again soon. God Bless!

Buffalo to Erie

September 23rd, 2008
Hey everyone, how you doing? I'm doing well. Early this afternoon, we drove from Buffalo, NY to Erie, PA. We visited radio station WTWF "The WOLF." Mark and I went on air and played three songs live and I did an interview with them as well. Everyone at the station was awesome and very welcoming to us. We left Erie after the station visit and drove about an hour back to Buffalo. Now I have the rest of the day off to chill and get some emails and other things done. Tomorrow, I have a show here at "Club Paradise." We are all looking forward to having a great time with the fans in Buffalo. Thank you all for the continued support, it truly means so much. Have a good day and God Bless!

Busy past few days......

Hey everyone, it sure has been a busy past few days.

In my last journal, I had mentioned that the band and I were heading on the bus to Jacksonville, FL. We had a show at the Landing, which is located along the northbank of the St. Johns River. It was beautiful! We entertained a crowd of about 7 thousand people. We did a 45-minute set to a very energized crowd. It was really great! I would say the only downfall of the evening was the fact that we got so much rain. Things started to flood over, including our band gear. After the show, we all spent time drying off our guitars and foot pedals. It wasn't exactly a pretty scene.

From there, we all headed back to the hotel and parked the bus in the hotel parking lot. Big Dave, our bus driver, stayed in a room at the hotel while the rest of us stayed on the bus. It made more sense for us to do this because we had a 5:30 a.m. departure the next morning to go from the hotel to the airport. The next morning, we hopped on a Southwest plane to Las Vegas. Yes, the city of lights… We all love going there! I do not gamble… I just really enjoy walking the Las Vegas strip and seeing all the lights and amazing hotels.

Yesterday, the band and I did a show at the Las Vegas Speedway. It was my first time being at a track like that. We played in the center garage part of the track, where they had a stage set up and everything. After the show, we waited for the Limo to come and get us to take us back to the hotel. This wasn't any ordinary kind of limo though, no, it was a 30-sum foot truck limo. The driver said it was like 1 of 20 in the entire world. We all had the rest of the evening off and some of us I'm sure went to gamble and have fun, but I on the other hand was wiped out and decided to go back to the room and chill.

That brings us to today. I just woke up like an hour ago and we have the day off. I think we're gonna go race dune buggies in the desert sand and you never know, maybe even go catch a Vegas show this evening. Other than that, that's what we've been up to the last few days. Take care guys and I'll be in touch. God Bless!

Going to Jacksonville

September 18th, 2008

Today is a travel day for the band and I. We left the loft around noon and it is now 1:13 p.m., so we haven't been on the road for too long. We're heading to Jacksonville, Florida. We have a full band show there tomorrow night as part of the WGNE Gator Country Concert Series. Before that though, we are stopping to pick up my road manager Barry in Atlanta. While in Atlanta, we're gonna stop in at our favorite restaurant (BUCKNERS) for some good ole' home cooked food! It's awesome there! If you haven't been there, I would highly recommend it! Anyhow, have a great day everyone and I will talk to you y'all soon. God Bless!

Laid Some Tracks & Went To The Dr.

Today the band I left the loft at 9 a.m. to head over to my producer Keith Follese's house. We laid the bed tracks to two songs and I also cut guide vocals. We spent most of the morning and afternoon out there. At 2:45 p.m., I had a doctor's appointment to get my sinus infection checked out. The visit went well. Basically, we just mentioned to the doctor that I've got a show Friday in Jacksonville, Florida, that I need to be healthy for it. He prescribed me some antibiotics and I can already feel them starting to kick in. Other than that, my evenings been off to just relaxing and getting laundry and packing done before we leave tomorrow. I pray that every ones day went well. God Bless!

Yesterday.......

Hi everyone,
I hope you all are having a great day. I have been around the house all day calling radio stations to thank them for adding and playing my song. I called about 37 or so. In between making radio phone calls, I managed to rearrange the furniture in my bedroom. I like it better now and it seems more cozy. Other than that, I'm still on the tail end of this sinus infection, but it is getting way better now. I have the evening off now, so I think I'm just gonna relax, maybe go grab a bite to eat somewhere and then go and rent a movie. I'll post another journal tomorrow, talk to you y'all then. God Bless!

Fighting A Cold...

Hey everyone..

I hope you've all been doing well. Unfortunately, I've been fighting a sinus infection the last few days, so it hasn't been much fun.

To fill you all in, the Saturday after the Grand Ole Opry appearance the band and I had the day off to get stuff done and clean the loft. On Sunday, a few of us went down the street to Buffalo Billiards and was a part of the Vanden Bosch Charity event for Cystic Fibrosis. I truly believe in charitable events and love to help out in anyway that I can.

Today being Monday, I've been at home battling my sinus infection and making calls to radio stations to thank them for adding and playing my song. Well, I hope all of you have a great day and I'll be in touch with you all soon. Thank you and God Bless!

Played The Opry Again On Saturday!!

Wow, what an exciting day it has been! I started off the morning by going to Big D and Bubba. Mark, Robin and myself played three songs live and then followed that up with an interview. We played "Crazy Days," "Fast Enough" and a countrified version of Justin Timberlake's song, "What Goes Around." They really seemed to like our version of that..

After the radio visit, I came home and chilled for awhile and got a little more sleep. Around 5 o'clock, the band and I met at my manager's loft where we went together to meet up with Big Dave and the bus. We all hopped on and headed towards the Grand Ole Opry! This being my 2nd time playing the Opry now, I knew a little more of what to expect, but again I was so excited!! I don't think it really matters how much an artist plays the Opry, it's still gonna be an amazing feeling every time! Mark, Chad, the Opry house band and I went on stage at around 8:30 p.m. We played two songs. The first song we played was "Crazy Days" and then we followed that up with "What It Takes." It was a packed house from what I could see from the stage view and the audience seemed to really be into the music!

After the show, Lawrence and I chatted with Jeanne Sealy. She mentioned to us that she has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry going on 41 years.. We both were amazed by that and so was Jeanne. She told us that the years have flown by so fast and standing there talking to her, I couldn't help but think of all the people and all the things she had witnessed all those years at the Opry. Both Lawrence and I walked Jeanne to her vehicle after the show backstage and we asked her if she'd be into writing sometime. She said she would love to! So hopefully in the near future we can make that happen.

From the Opry, we made our way over to the Nashville Palace just across the way from the Opryland Hotel. As a last minute thing, The band and I got up on stage and played for 20 to 25 minutes. Besides the fast switch over of bands and a few mic technical difficulties, we all had an awesome time playing up there and would most certainly love to play there again sometime! I'm back at my loft now about ready to crash for the night, so I will sign off for now. I'll talk to you soon. God Bless!

September 11th

This morning I had the opportunity to sleep in till 10 a.m., lol. I had most of the day off in Phoenix, before my flight back to Nashville.

I'm back in Nashville now for another busy, but exciting day ahead of me tomorrow. In the morning, I am going to visit Big D and Bubba for a second interview at around 9 a.m. I have also been asked by the Grand Ole Opry to come and perform on the show tomorrow night! I am completely honored and thrilled to be given the opportunity for the 2nd time! Please wish me luck everyone and pray that I do well, thank you.

Before I sign off, I would like to take a moment and say a prayer for all those who lost a loved one 7 years ago this day, and know that I am thinking about you all...

Goodnight and God Bless!

While In Canada....

While In Canada..

On Sunday. we made our way over to the MTS building, where the CCMA awards were being held. All the award presenters, including Jimmy Wayne and I, had a dress rehearsal for the show. Everything flowed smoothly. We went back to the Fairmont (our hotel) after that and had some time to kill. The CCMA presidential gala dinner started at around 6 p.m., so we headed over there for a cocktail party first and then onto the dinner itself. There were a bunch of familiar faces along with some new ones. It was good to get in there and mingle a bit.

On Monday, myself and Barry were met in the Lobby of the Fairmont hotel by Sam from Open Road Universal. He took us to visit two radio stations. After the visits, we had time off before being picked up to go to the show. Our ride came at 4:30 p.m. and we headed over to the MTS building. The driver took us to the loading area backstage and I went and got powdered up for the show and had a bite to eat in the catering area backstage. Jimmy Wayne and I were first on to present Female Artist of the Year. I went up there and had mentioned to the audience that Jimmy was celebrating a 1 song, with Do You Believe Me Now. It was cool to see Dierks Bentley and friend Kellie Pickler there tonight as well. Once the awards were done, everybody moved over to the convention center for the after party. There were fans in there who I was able to chat with and give autographs too. Barry and I stayed for an hour and a half or so and then headed for the hotel. We have an early morning wake up call ahead of us and I am sure it will come all to soon in the morning. I just finished packing my things back up and I'm laying down to hopefully get at least 3 hours of sleep tonight. Talk to you soon and God Bless!

ADAM GREGORY - JOURNAL: SEPTEMBER 5th, 2008

Today I went over and visited KATC in Colorado Springs. Mark, Robin and myself performed live on air. We did a couple of songs including “What It Takes” and “Then She Cried” and the staff really enjoyed them.

We went to Hooters after that for lunch with Wing Nut, Jim and Cooper from the station and we indulged in the hot wings!! The wings are so awesome there!!! Let me rewind just a little and mention that we went to Hooters in style, on the bus!! lol…

After eating at Hooters, we all went back on the bus and Mark, Robin and I broke out the guitars and played our versions of a Coldplay song and a Justin Timberlake song. That was definitely a change of pace for them, but they really seemed to enjoy them. We took them back to the station and I basically had the rest of the day to get my clothes organized and packed for Canada...

Barry, my road manager, and I leave for Winnipeg Canada tomorrow, where I will be attending the Canadian Country Music Awards (CCMA's)! I will be presenting an award on Monday’s show, so I'm excited about that! Anyways, I will fill you in with the events that happen tomorrow. Goodnight everyone and God Bless!

ADAM GREGORY - JOURNAL: SEPTEMBER 6th, 2008

This morning Barry and I left Colorado Springs and are now in Winnipeg, Canada for the CCMA Awards that will be broadcast on Monday.

I had kind of a funny moment this morning on our first flight. Anyone that has flown with me would tell you that I am out sleeping for the entire flight, sometimes even before the plane takes off. lol. So, here I was asleep as we were taking off thinking I was going to get a nice little rest in…but no, I was awakened 18 minutes later as we hit ground. I asked Barry what happened, did we have to turn the plane around or something? He said no, we touched down in Denver. I didn't realize that it was only like an 18-minute flight from Colorado Springs to Denver. I knew it was close, but didn’t realize how close…I guess you learn something new everyday, lol.

Now Barry and I are in Winnipeg, Canada and Mary who works with Ron Kitchener picked us up from the airport when we arrived at 1:30 p.m. She helped us get settled into our hotel downtown. We had a little time to kill, so I had a shower and ironed my clothes. We got picked up at 5:30 p.m. to go to a Universal showcase at Cowboys! There were a bunch of artists performing there and I was given the opportunity to sing a song too. All in all, it was a great evening of mingling and meeting new people! I'm back at the hotel now getting ready for bed, because I have dress rehearsal tomorrow for the award show happening Monday. Goodnight and God Bless!

Labor Day Weekend

Tuesday, September 02, 2008

On Friday, I met up with Shelley and Lawrence to go to Z' Tejas to meet up with Christie, the KMLE contest winner and her friend Alex.. We sat and visited while eating some good ole food and sharing stories with each other.
After that, we headed back to the hotel to meet up with Larry, the Big Machine Rep. He took Mark and I to KNIX where Ray Massie did an interview with me. He made us feel very welcomed and asked Mark and I to play a few songs. From the radio station, we made a stop at the Guitar Center to pick up guitar strings so we'd have some extras on hand.

I returned back to the hotel and rested for a few minutes. We then made our way over to sound check at Graham Central Station for the KMLE class of 08' show. After sound check, we went to dinner with all the artists who were performing at the show along with Gwen Foster, who is the radio DJ for KMLE. We had a ton of food with the appetizers alone. Once the main course came along, I wasn't hungry anymore.. lol.. Some of the artists had to get back to the venue to do meet and greets, so we finished up dinner and left. I went back to the hotel to get ready for the show and then headed back to Graham Central at 10:40 for an 11:00 o'clock meet and greet. Mark and I went on stage at 11:30 and played for a half hour. After that, I called everyone back on stage to do a finale jam session. It was Mark, myself, Lance Miller and One Flew South. We all ended up staying and singing till 2 a.m. and had a great time with the fans!!

On Saturday, we had to make our way to the Phoenix airport where we were flying to Kansas City.

When we landed in Kansas City, we had to go straight to the venue. Unfortunately, Mark and I missed the sound check. ;) I guess you could say we were cutting it close. I went to catering and had a quick home cooked dinner from Little Richards restaurant, and it was awesome!! I had about an hour and a half after that to rest and get ready for the show.

When it was about time to go on, TJ from Q104 met up with us, walked us to the stage and made the introduction of the band and I.. We did a 75 minute set at the Santacaligon Days Festival to a very welcoming crowd. After doing the show and signing autographs, we hopped back on the bus and are now heading to Albuquerque, NM where we will have a couple of shows for radio stations! That's all for now folks, but I'll keep you updated.. God Bless!
